Question

How do you get the "install voice data..." setting to confirm?

I am setting up the Voice Input and Out Settings and under the Text-to-Speech (voice output) section I can't figure how to ge the "Install Voice data" to turn on. Also I can't access my contacts, or send email, etc. using voice commands. I don't know if these two things are related.

Please try to do a soft reset on the phone by powering it off and removing the battery then placing it back again to reboot the handset.

No. If you have an unlimited data plan, install "tunein" from the Adriod Market. Works better than a FM radio. You will be able to hear over 3000+ stations. Just check it out. For a buck, you can purchase "tunein pro" which will allow you to record what you wish to your hearts content...

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

Windows 7 driver for Android Exibit II USB connection

Is there a driver needed to use the USB connection with Windows 7 Professional? My phone does not show up as a drive in Windows Explorer as the manual says it should. Windows Update did not provide anything.

When connecting your phone to Windows 7, if you get the error, MTP USB Device: Device driver software was not successfully installed.

Go to the control panel: System: Device Manager.
Look under Portable Devices. You should see the MTB USB Device there with a yellow exlamation point. Right click and search for updated drivers. Let the new driver install and reconnect your phone.
You should now see the SGH-T679 properly connected.

Problems hearing the calls I make.

My phone can call other people and they can hear me when the call connects but I can't hear them or anything for that matter. I can't even hear the phone ringing after I dial the number and hit the call button. Anyone else having this issue?
