There's no configurable option for you to change the background color for text messaging on your Samsung Gravity T (SGH-T669). It is default on the phone.

how do you turn on audible alerts for missed calls?

I just set my audible alert to "periodic" for missed messages. Is it possible to set the alert to "period" for missed calls. Currently, the only receive one alert message for a missed call. I would like it to continually alert me until I acknowledge.

You can change or disable the keypad tone settings on the SGH-T669 (Gravity T) phone. To edit the settings, follow the steps below.

1. From the Home screen, press Menu.
2. Tap Settings and then select Sound Profiles.
3. Tap the Edit icon next to Normal.
4. Tap the pull down menu in the upper-right corner and select Phone.
5. Under Keypad Tone, you may select either Beep or Glossy.
6. Under Phone Sound Volume, you may slide the control all the way to level 0 to disable all touch screen and keypad sounds.
7. Tap Save to retain changes.

Are you trying to transfer media files from your phone to the computer such as picture, music and videos? if you are please follow the steps below :

To set it to mass storage :
Press Menu
Tap Settings > Phone Settings > PC Connections
Samsung PC Studio
Use the SGH-T669 with Samsung's New PC Studio software to access the internal memory.

Ask On Connection
A prompt will show on the display letting you choose how to connect with a PC.

Mass Storage
Access an installed memory card in the SGH-T669 to transfer files between the device and a PC.

Connect the Gravity T to a PC using the supported data cable.
The phone will display a "Connected" message. The PC will show a new drive letter in My Computer.
On the PC, open the new drive letter and drag/drop or copy/paste content into this window

Note: Preloaded picture cannot be deleted due to Digital Rights Management protection (DRM)

Press Menu
Tap Applications > Files > Videos or Photos > More > Delete > Select All > Delete > Select All > Delete

You can use the default pass code for the phone which is "0000" or "00000000". There is no way that we can retrieve the pass code that was set on the phone. If the default pass code did not work then we can do a reset on the phone.

If you want to transfer media files from the phone to the computer, please refer to the steps and procedures provided below.

Mass Storage (Memory Card)

1.Ensure that the Gravity T is in Mass Storage Mode.
2.Connect the Gravity T to a PC using the supported data cable.
3.The phone will display a "Connected" message. The PC will show a new drive letter in My Computer.
4.On the PC, open the new drive letter and drag/drop or copy/paste content into this window

New PC Studio (v1.4.1 AD2)

1.Ensure that the Gravity T USB Settings are set accordingly.
2.Connect the Gravity T to a PC using the supported data cable.
3.If necessary, on the PC launch the Samsung New PC Studio (NPS) application.
4.After a few seconds, NPS will "see" the SGH-T669 device and display an icon in the upper-right corner.
5.In NPS, click on the Media Manager icon then click on the SGH-T669 icon
6.You can now use the drag and drop method for transferring content between the Gravity T and your PC.

You may use your favorite search engine on your computer to look for application that you can use on the SGH-T669 handset that will support this feature. Mass Storage Mode

Checkpoints

* Ensure that a memory card has been installed before proceeding with this section.
* Set the Gravity T's computer's Connections setting accordingly:
1.From the Home screen, press Menu
2.Tap Settings > Phone Settings > computer Connections > Mass Storage
1.Connect the Gravity T to a computer or laptop using a supported USB data cable.
2.When the Removable Disk pop-up appears on computer, select "Open Folder To View Files" and then click OK
3.The next window will show the contents of the memory card installed in the Gravity T. This allows you to transfer audio files from your computer to the Gravity T, either through cut/copy and paste or drag and drop methods.

Samsung's New PC Studio Software (NPS)

1.On your computer or laptop, launch Samsung's New PC Studio application
2.Connect the Gravity T to the computer using a supported USB data cable
3.If not already selected, in NPS click on the Media Manager
4.From the music library in NPS, right-click on a desired music track and select Send To Device > T669

Thank you for your inquiry. You can follow the steps below to manage the message alert tone and the volume.

1. From the Home screen, press Menu then touch Settings> Sound Profiles.
2. Touch the arrow to the right of the Normal profile.
3. Touch the Pull down menu and select Message.
4. Touch the Message alert type field, select one of the following and touch Save.
* Melody: the phone rings using the ring melody selected in the Ring tone menu.
* Vibration: the phone will vibrate but not play a melody.
* Vibration and melody: the phone vibrates and plays a melody simultaneously.
* Mute: the phone is silent and does not play a melody or vibrate.
5. Touch the Message alert tone field, touch to select a tone and touch Save.

6. Touch the Message alert repetition pull-down and select one of the following options:
* Once: repeats the message alert once.
* Periodic: repeats the message alert periodically.
7. Touch the Alert tone volume slide bar, then touch and drag the slider to the volume level you desire (range is 1-7), and touch Save.
8. Touch the Message alert vibration field, and select Vibration select Vibration 1 - 3, then touch Save.
