How can I tell if my phone is using WiFi and not 3G?

If I connect to the internet with WiFi, then hit the browser button will everything I do be over the internet and not use data and minute charges? How do I tell how I am connected?

If you have successfully connected to a Wi-Fi network, you will not be using your mobile data while browsing the internet. You will be using only your Wi-Fi connection. You can connect to a Wi-Fi network by touching Menu>Settings>Wi-Fi. A list of the available networks will populate. Choose yours and tap to connect.

I'm trying to figure out how to set up my phone to require a password to unlock it. I've looked in Settings->Phone->Security and then got stuck. I also have no idea what my PIN Code is.

I find the easiest way is to use the bluetooth capabilities. The phone has it and your computer should also have it.

If you can't do that, you can buy a USB reader for your micro SD card. That way, you just put your card into the reader and plug the reader into your computer.

Or you could send the photo as a picture message to an email address.

how do i connect wi-fi?

two different times i tried to connect i got two different situations; first, it seemed connected but every time i tried to watch a video it said i wasn't connected and, second, it wouldn't connect b/c it said i had an invalid network key, which i don't know what the key should be???
