Why can't I move Apps from internal memory to SD card?
Most of the apps that I have downloaded, or that came with my Samsung DART, are on the internal memory of the phone. When I try to move them onto the SD card to make space (Settings-Applications-Manage Applications, then clicking on the individual application), the option 'Move to SD card' is shaded and I cannot select it.

Hi LoveLiveEnjoy,
Thank you for your inquiry. We understand your concern that you can't transfer the applications to your memory card.
There is no configurable option that will allow you to transfer preloaded applications on the memory card. For downloaded applications once the option transfer to SD card is grayed out that means that it can only be saved on the phone's memory. We apologize for any inconvenience this may presents.

With the phone fully charged and not being used, no incoming calls or outgoing calls the battery is fully discharged after 2 days. I have went over the manual on the power saving tips. The only one that I leave on is the wifi as I need this to receive and make calls. Is this the norm for this phone? If so is there a better battery that can be bought?

Hi cougarx47,
Thank you for your inquiry. We understand your concern about the battery life of your Samsung phone.
Battery power consumption depends on a number of factors, such as network configuration, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, frequency of calls, and voice, data, and other application usage patterns.
We understand that you need to have your wi-fi turned on, please be advised that wi-fi also consumes battery power of the phone.
There is no extended battery available for the Samsung SGH-T499.
Some variables that may affect battery life are: · Backlight settings set to always on or a long amount of time · Ring tone settings set to higher volume settings · Vibrate settings turned on · Using Internet Services including Text Messaging · Making and/or Receiving calls in, or simply standing by in, an analog service area · If you tend to be in a "weak" coverage area where your signal strength meter shows only 1 to 2 bars · Using non-SAMSUNG charging accessories can cause battery life and other issues, as well as void the manufacturer’s limited warranty.
Please check the information listed below for the charging time for your phone.
Charge Cycles In-Use Up to 8 hours Standby Up to 330 hours

I've asked this two times already and have followed your directions to no avail. My computer (running Windows XP) is looking for a driver before it can connect to my smartphone. Your user manual states that I can download a driver from you website for use with Windows XP, but the only download I can find is you user manual in PDF. Please help. Thank you

Hi!
Were you charging while connected to your PC? It sounds as if your device assumed you were attempting to connect to transfer data. This may simply be a minor error. If it happens again, a soft reset will be a good fix.
If you need additional assistance, feel free to reach out to us on Twitter @samsungsupport for speedy responses in the U.S.
Cannot charge my phone from a DigitalEnergy, iSimple, or SIL-050050B-CLA Car Charger. All are rated 5VDC @ 500mA. Tried several micro-usb cables that work fine from a PC USB port.

I recently purchased the Samsung Dart (T499) and it is stated to have 12 days standby time. I actually bought 2 of these phones for my wife and I. Neither of us can receive more than a day with the battery although it is stated to have 12 days standby time. I assume there is a setting of some sort to achieve this. I have tried turning off the wifi, GPS and bluetooth on the phones and still cannot go over 24 hours on the charge. How do I get 12 days standby? Is there certain settings we need to setup?

Hi jimruns919,
Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you would like to know how to get standby time of 12 days on your phone, SGH-T499.
Standby time: Up to 330 hours* Amount of time available in Sleep mode in which a phone's display is inactive to save power, but not totally shut down.
Continuous talk time: Up to 8 hours*
Battery life durations specified on our products are tested in our labs under multiple different conditions and the talk and standby times are a realistic average maximum dependent on customer usage variables.
Battery power consumption depends on a number of factors, such as network configuration, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, frequency of calls, and voice, data, and other application usage patterns. Some variables that may affect battery life are:
-Backlight settings set to always on or a long amount of time. -Ring tone settings set to higher volume settings. -Vibrate settings turned on. -Using Internet Services including Text Messaging. -Making and/or Receiving calls in, or simply standing by in, analog service area. -If you tend to be in a "weak" coverage area where your signal strength meter shows only 1 to 2 bars. -Using non-SAMSUNG charging accessories can cause battery life and other issues, as well as void the manufacturer’s limited warranty. -Application usage pattern.
Please check the information listed below for the charging time for your phone.
