Question

How do I offload pictures to my computer?

No instructions for this anywhere!
Am I to assume that there is no method?
What is the mini-SD storage for in that case?

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

How do you use a microSDTM card and cable with a T404G?

On the TRACFONE website, it says that to be able to use the T404G as an MP3 player, you need a microSDTM card (up to 16 GB) and a cable. How would you use these with the phone? Where would the card be plugged into? And what type of cable is needed to connect to a PC?

Regarding your concern, we do not have any information concerning the connection of the SGH-T404G to your computer so that you can transfer pictures.

How do I download photos from my camera?

I have taken some pictures with my Samsun T404. I would like to download them from the phone to the computer as I would from a camera. I bought the appropriate usb cable and the computer recognizes the phone but I can't do anything more such as get to the photos that are stored on the phone. Thanks for your reply!

Question

How do you send text messages? Instruction manual is unclear.

New phone for me, from Tracfone. I tried to send a text message to learn how to do it. It never went out, it seems, as it never deducted any time. It is stored in the sentbox as is stated on page 44 of the owner's manual. Is this because I don't have service where I composed the text and when I get some decent signal strength it will go out automatically, or will I have to go back and resend it?

So far I haven't found a way to connect with a computer. However what I did was to send the picture to my e-mail account and get it that way. Hope that helps a little bit.

I have a Samsung model sgh-t404g (tracfone). How do I connect to my computer to download photos?

I bought a USB cable that connects the phone to the USB port on my computer (Windows XP). Phone immediately says it is "charging" off the USB port, but when attempting to connect it as a device, the computer gives me a message, something like "Samsung modem driver not available". How do I get the proper driver?
