Why do I get an error message when I access email?

I get an error message when I check my email from the messages that reads "Unable to launch Email. You need to upgrade your plan to use this service." When I press cancel, it then proceeds to my email. I have a data plan and can still access the email feature, but it gives me the error message every time.

How can I flash Gravity SGH-T379 with operating software?

I found this old phone in a purse when cleaning the basement - I put a user lock on it, but I can't remember what it was. I tried the 8 zeros, 4 zeros and the last four digits of the phone number to no avail. I was hoping to unlock the user lock so my daughter can have her own phone for a pay as you go plan without having to purchase a new phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Regarding your concern, use this method to hard reset your Samsung Gravity TXT T379: Enter *2767*3855#. Warning! All your data including contacts, messages etc. will be lost! Copy all your necessary data/Contacts/Messages etc. to SIM or make backup to your PC before full reset! Take out SIM card before full reset.

I want 3 media shortcuts on my "4-way shortcuts" what do I need to change to get the phone to let me?

I want the "media shortcut" to bring up the calculator and it will. I want the "social shortcut" to bring up the camera but it won't. I want the "web shortcut" to bring up the music player and it won't. How do I customize this phone so it will do what I want and not what you thought I would want?

Is there a quicker way to add a text msg recipient?

When adding a recipient, I have to use "add," which then keeps adding the same recipient to the recent recipient list. It seems there should be a quicker way when trying to send a text to put in a recipient's name then having to push several buttons to insert a name.

There is no configurable option on the phone that will allow you to type some letters of the name and will show you a recepient. We apologize for any incovnenience this may have caused you.

All Samsung products are manufactured to the specifications of the service provider for whom they are produced.

The options available on your Samsung phone for adding a recepient are the following:

1. From the Home screen, press Menu (LSK) - Messaging - Create message.
2.Highlight the To field and enter a phone number.

Highlight the To field and press Add to add a recipient and choose from one of the following:
• Recent recipients: allows you to select from recipients of your previous messages.
• Contacts: allows you to enter the phone number you want from Contacts.
• Groups: allows you to select a group.
– Highlight an option and press Select (LSK) or .

checkmark alongside it.
– Press Done (LSK) to complete the selection.

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

Shooting Pictures and Video

From the homescreen, press and hold the camera button located on the right-side spine of the device. The camera will launch and the display will show a live camera/camcorder view.
Note: By default, the device remembers whether you were last in the Camera or Camcorder.

To switch between Camera and Camcorder, press Menu and then use the optical pad to highlight the selction on the Camera tab. Press the optical pad to make the selection.
Now, frame your shot and ensure that everything you want is in focus then press the optical pad or the Camera button on the side to take the shot or begin recording. If recording video, you can press the optical pad to pause and start again without having to create a new video file. Press the Stop soft key or the Camera button on the side to stop recording.

How do I upload pics from my samsung galaxy txt to my laptop using the USB??
