Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

Question

How do I disable data downloads?

I just got this phone, and every other button tries to connect to the internet. I do not have a data plan, so this is extremely expensive. Even if I immediately disconnect, it still charges me a little each time. How can I disable all data features, so that I cannot incure any additional charges?

Cannot get connection between Gravity TXT and PC Studio 3.

My Gateway GT5465E with Windows Vista Home Premium ver 6.0 (build 6002 service pack 2) sees the SGH-T379, and loads drivers for it all, but PC Studio 3 (vers 3.2.3 IE2) refuses to Connect, even with Connection Wizard.

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you're phone is doing power cycle everytime you use the bluetooth. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

We cannot speculate what's causing the phone to restarts when you use the bluetooth of the phone and we don't have any known issue with this concern.

Please try to do a soft reset on your phone.
Soft Reset: Turn of the phone. Remove the battery for 1-2 minutes and then put it back then turn on the phone.

If the soft reet won't work we recommend you to call our Customer Support Care for further assisatnce.

You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

I want 3 media shortcuts on my "4-way shortcuts" what do I need to change to get the phone to let me?

Is there a quicker way to add a text msg recipient?

When adding a recipient, I have to use "add," which then keeps adding the same recipient to the recent recipient list. It seems there should be a quicker way when trying to send a text to put in a recipient's name then having to push several buttons to insert a name.

There is no configurable option on the phone that will allow you to type some letters of the name and will show you a recepient. We apologize for any incovnenience this may have caused you.

The options available on your Samsung phone for adding a recepient are the following:

1. From the Home screen, press Menu (LSK) - Messaging - Create message.
2.Highlight the To field and enter a phone number.

Highlight the To field and press Add to add a recipient and choose from one of the following:
• Recent recipients: allows you to select from recipients of your previous messages.
• Contacts: allows you to enter the phone number you want from Contacts.
• Groups: allows you to select a group.
– Highlight an option and press Select (LSK) or .

checkmark alongside it.
– Press Done (LSK) to complete the selection.
