How to download USB driver for SGH-T369

I am having difficulty getting my SGH-T369 phone to connect to the USB port on my Windows XP machine. The phone shows the connection when I have it in "USB Mass Storage" mode, but I cannot connect using Samsung PC Studio 7 or access it as a drive on my computer. When I put it in "USB Modem" mode, I get no connection at all and no indication that the phone or the computer even recognizes the connection. Do I need a driver and, if so, how do I get it. If not, how do I get my phone to connect to be able to transfer contacts, calendar, etc. to/from the phone and the computer?

There are two methods for transferring files between a computer and the SGH-T369 (Column). The steps for each are detailed below.

Via New PC Studio Application

Tip: You can download it from www.samsung.com Download Center.

Note: Ensure that USB Mode on the SGH-T369 (Column) is set to Modem before proceeding.

1. From the Home screen, select Menu > Settings > Personalize > Phone Settings > USB Mode>Select Modem

The Modem option is used to manage data using Samsung's New PC Studio software application. With New PC Studio, you can manage and organize all of your photos, videos, and music on the phone from your computer, as well as a Calendar, Memos, and To-Do lists.

1. On computer, launch the Samsung New PC Studio software application.
2. Connect the Column to a computer using a supported USB data cable.
3. When the SGH-T369 icon is displayed click on it.
4. You can now copy/paste (drag and drop) files between your computer and the Column.

Mass Storage Mode

Note: Ensure that USB Mode on the SGH-T369 (Column) is set to Mass Storage before proceeding.

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you're unable to receive picture message and audio message on your phone, SGH-T369. We do apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused you.

You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

If the soft reset won't work, since MMS (Multimedia messaging Service) is network dependent feature of the phone or one of the services offered by your carrier if you would like to send or receive multimedia messages, we recommend you to contact your Service Provider, as they can provide you available options to fix this problem in a more timely manner.

Hi Jackyln!

Regarding your concern, there are no configurable options to stop saving your incoming text messages on your SIM card. It is default on the SGH-t369 handset that the first 30 text messages will automatically be saved on the SIM card’s memory and 30 messages onwards will be saved on the phone.

Question

When I save audio media from a text message some is saved to music due to format and I am unable to attach it to new texts.

How can this be resolved? I did not have this problem with my old Samsung phone. The saved media says it is forwardable but I have been unable to do so, and the T-Mobile clerk says it cannot be done. It seems like this is a step backward. Can you help?

Thank you for your inquiry. There are three ways to transfer audio files to the SGH-T369 Column.

Audio Transfer Methods
• Mass Storage
• New PC Studio
• Bluetooth

Mass Storage
Note: Ensure that a memory card has been properly inserted into the memory card slot and that the USB Settings have been set to Mass Storage mode.
From the Home screen, select Menu > Settings > Personalize > Phone Settings > USB Mode
Connect the SGH-T369 Column to a PC using a supported data cable.
1. When prompted on the PC, select "Open Folder To View Files" and then click OK.
2. You can now transfer files between the memory card of the Column and your PC using copy/paste or drag/drop.

New PC Studio (NPS)
Note: Ensure that the USB Settings have been set to Modem mode.
From the Home screen, select Menu > Settings > Personalize > Phone Settings > USB Mode
1. NPS will launch automatically. If not, you can manually launch it now.
2. In NPS, click the Media Manager icon and the SGH-T369 icon.
3. You can now transfer files between the Column and your PC using copy/paste or drag/drop.

Bluetooth
Note: Ensure that both devices are paired and connected.
On the Column, locate the desired audio file to be transferred.
1. Press Options > Send Via Bluetooth > Send
2. Select the desired Bluetooth device from the list of paired devices
3. File transfer begins.

If your handset is indicating "phone lock" as you turn the phone on, what we can advise as passcodes are "0000" or "00000000". If these codes will not work, then you may call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot this issue in a more timely manner than we could through this forum.

When creating text msg remove sound, picture, video area row to give more area to see text msg

When u type a text message using the qwerty keyboard there are only 2 rows of text showing at a time. U can actually see more text if u use the numeric keyboard option. Is there a way to get rid of the part that is right below the text box that contains the add sound, pic, or video option as I won't be using that and would prefer 3 rows of text?

Pertaining to your query, the sms (short messaging service) is a service provided by the Network provider. I would strongly suggest that you coordinate with them to have the proper configuration and setting on the phone.

Question

Bluetooth and Ford Fiesta Sync

My Samsung SGH-T369 phone will pair with the Sync system but when I try to make a call using the sync system I can see the phone making the call but you can not use the handsfree feature of sync. The Sync system always shows the call ended but on the phone the call is still going through.

Downloading online T-Mobile addressbook

When I lost and replaced my T239 the T-mobile site downloaded my online addressbook automatically. Does the T369 have this feature? I can not find it.

Hi, we actually don’t know if the sgh-t369 has the online T-Mobile Address book shortcut loaded on the device. I believe there is a way of getting this and you will need to contact T-Mobile to have access on this. And it could be a paid service through them. I advise you to contact them regarding the online T-Mobile address book and how to get this to work.

Just press and hold the [*] key while on the Home screen to immediately lock the keys on the phone.

Hello!

You can contact your service provider to verify your new phone number and you can also save it to your phone.

Here’s how to:

1. In Idle mode, press Menu > People > My number and press .
The cursor displays in the Name field.
2. Press the Down Navigation, press to erase the current entry, and type in a new number
if desired.
3. Press Save to save your information.
