How to download USB driver for SGH-T369

I am having difficulty getting my SGH-T369 phone to connect to the USB port on my Windows XP machine. The phone shows the connection when I have it in "USB Mass Storage" mode, but I cannot connect using Samsung PC Studio 7 or access it as a drive on my computer. When I put it in "USB Modem" mode, I get no connection at all and no indication that the phone or the computer even recognizes the connection. Do I need a driver and, if so, how do I get it. If not, how do I get my phone to connect to be able to transfer contacts, calendar, etc. to/from the phone and the computer?

There are two methods for transferring files between a computer and the SGH-T369 (Column). The steps for each are detailed below.

Via New PC Studio Application

Tip: You can download it from www.samsung.com Download Center.

Note: Ensure that USB Mode on the SGH-T369 (Column) is set to Modem before proceeding.

1. From the Home screen, select Menu > Settings > Personalize > Phone Settings > USB Mode>Select Modem

The Modem option is used to manage data using Samsung's New PC Studio software application. With New PC Studio, you can manage and organize all of your photos, videos, and music on the phone from your computer, as well as a Calendar, Memos, and To-Do lists.

1. On computer, launch the Samsung New PC Studio software application.
2. Connect the Column to a computer using a supported USB data cable.
3. When the SGH-T369 icon is displayed click on it.
4. You can now copy/paste (drag and drop) files between your computer and the Column.

Mass Storage Mode

Note: Ensure that USB Mode on the SGH-T369 (Column) is set to Mass Storage before proceeding.

1. From the Home screen, select Menu > Settings > Personalize > Phone Settings > USB Mode>Select
Via Mass Storage

The Mass Storage option is used to manage data on the microSD memory card using a computer or laptop.

1. Connect the Column to a computer using a supported USB data cable.
2. If prompted on computer, select "Open folders to view files" and then click OK.
3. You can now copy/paste (drag and drop) files to and from your computer.

TIP: Try to do a soft reset on your phone.

Soft Reset: Turn of the phone. Remove and put back the battery after a couple of minutes (2-3).

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you're unable to receive picture message and audio message on your phone, SGH-T369. We do apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused you.

You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

If the soft reset won't work, since MMS (Multimedia messaging Service) is network dependent feature of the phone or one of the services offered by your carrier if you would like to send or receive multimedia messages, we recommend you to contact your Service Provider, as they can provide you available options to fix this problem in a more timely manner.

PC Studio 3 will not connect to my T369 cell phone

While installing PC Studio 3, I got a number of CRC error messages. Retry was not successful so I selected 'ignore' to continue with the installation. After the initial install, I also installed all the updates and drivers. The phone is in 'modem' mode and it is not recognized by PC Studio 3. Would appreciate a solution to enable PC Studio 3 to communicate with my T369 phone.

Question

When I save audio media from a text message some is saved to music due to format and I am unable to attach it to new texts.

How can this be resolved? I did not have this problem with my old Samsung phone. The saved media says it is forwardable but I have been unable to do so, and the T-Mobile clerk says it cannot be done. It seems like this is a step backward. Can you help?

You are trying to connect your phone to your Windows 7 computer and it was looking for a driver. Well, with the SGH-t369 it is actually does not need any driver to connect to the computer. There is no driver available for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. Although, the phone has both the option of Mass Storage connection mode and Samsung New PC Studio software connection mode. With the Mass storage mode, you will need to use a micro SD card and a USB cable. All you need to do is to set the USB setting of your phone to Mass Storage. On the other hand the New Samsung PC Studio is a software that you can download from samsung.com, together with this, you will also use a USB cable to connect it to your phone and computer. If you want the New Samsung PC Studio, you can download it for from www.samsung.com/us. The type the model number of your phone in the search box and it will show you the results for your phone and just go to download center, to get the New PC Studio. With this kind of method, you need to change the USB connection mode to MODEM.

how do I download music from a memory chip onto my phone?

I am following the books instructions, and though I can copy a music file onto the phone from a memory chip, it does not allow me to play it from the music player. It keeps saying that the file is empty. I also have tried to use the music player to play music that is on the memory chip and it won't do that either.

In downloading music and playing it to the phone, there are certain things & considerations that we need to check how it’ll work. Since you have stored music on your memory chip and put the chip to the phone and won’t play probably the file format that your music has is not supported by the phone. For the sgh-t369 the only music format that it supports is MP3 format. You may need to check if the format of your music is MP3. Another one is the file size, if your music is more than 300kb, it won’t play. Also the bit rate of the music, for bit rate your phone can only support up to 320kbps. If it is more than that, it won’t play either. And finally you also need to check if your music is DRM protected or it has Digital Rights Management. For any music that it has DRM protection on it, it will not play as well. You can check for all these kind of information from your computer. If your music was downloaded from your computer, you can check all them by going to properties. It will show you everything that you need to know if your music can be supported by your phone.

Here's how to put a keypad lock on the phone:

From the Home screen, go to Menu.

Yes, the phone will work overseas. And to use it overseas, you need to get this phone unlocked. Right now your phone is currently network locked to its previous provider & only its SIM card is going to work. If you need to network unlocked it, you will need to call your current service provider to get the 8 digit network control key (NCK). The NCK code is only available & can only be requested from your service provider. And once you have the NCK code, I would also suggest you to call us to unlock your phone. We have the tool to unlock your phone, however you need to get the NCK code first from your service provider.

If your handset is indicating "phone lock" as you turn the phone on, what we can advise as passcodes are "0000" or "00000000". If these codes will not work, then you may call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot this issue in a more timely manner than we could through this forum.

Bluetooth and Ford Fiesta Sync

My Samsung SGH-T369 phone will pair with the Sync system but when I try to make a call using the sync system I can see the phone making the call but you can not use the handsfree feature of sync. The Sync system always shows the call ended but on the phone the call is still going through.

Greetings!
Pertaining to your query below are the steps on how to insert and remove the battery from the mobile phone:

Insert
1.Carefully remove the battery cover, by inserting the fingertip on the latch at the top of the battery cover slowly lift it up away from the back of the phone.
2.Ensuring that gold contacts will line up on both the battery and the phone, gently slide the battery into the battery compartment.
3.Gently push down on the back end of the battery until it lays flush with the body of the phone.

Remove
1.Using a finger, gently lift up on the back end of the battery
2.Battery will release from battery compartment, allowing you to lift it out and away from the phone.
