Are you referring to the PIN code of the SIM card inserted on the phone?
Please call your service provider regarding the issue of resetting the PIN code for your SIM card.
If this is in regards to the passcode to access the device, the default phone lock code of your phone is "0000" or "00000000". If the default phone lock code did not work then we can do a reset on the phone. If a factory reset is necessary, please call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Question

Headphone functionality

We purchased this phone for my daughter for Christmas, the sales rep told us that this phone will play music from the phone onto headphones. We installed the music and purchased the special headphone jack and when plugged in the sound only comes out of the phone and will not play through the headphones. We took to the T-Mobile store and they tried another pair of headphones and it did the same thing. Is there something malfunctioning on the phone, or is there a setting that needs to change in order to listen to music through headphones?

Question

Why don't I have a field to enter addresses in my contacts list, like my wife's phone does (they are both SGH-T359 Smiley phones)?

I got the phone specifically to use as an address book to replace my palm pilot, but in the contacts list there is no icon for addresses like there is on my wife's phone. Are there two different versions? If so how do I get the one with the address field?

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

Question

Why doesn't the date on my phone update the next day until I go to the menu and do something else before returning to the main screen?

I wake up in the morning and the date is still yesterday's date. I have to go to the menu and play around randomly and then go back to the main screen before the date has finally been updated. I don't know why it does this, and it's a bit annoying.

Question

How to unfreeze my phone?

SIM unlock code was entered wrong and the phone is "frozen" asked to contact the mobile carrier. T-Mobile said I need to exchange to a new phone and ask for a new SIM unlock code again. In Taiwan right now need this phone to work with Taiwan SIM card. Please help.

Question

I bought a samsung smiley and I used my own sim card that is not prepay and now it says that there is no sim card in the phone when I turn it on.

It isn't my sim card because I tried it in another phone and it worked but when I put it in my prepay smiley it won't read it.

Question

How do I customize the Soft Keys on my Samsung Smiley QWERTY cell phone from t-mobile?

I would like to change my right soft key on my Smiley QWERTY phone so that I can easily do other functions; right now it is permanently set to 'web2go' which I do not want and will never use. I don't use my phone for internet, I do not have an internet plan, and fear that accidentally pressing this button will lead to additional charges. Thanks for your help.
