Hi edand,

To pair the SGH-T301G handset with a Bluetooth device, follow the steps below.

1. Place the Bluetooth device in discoverable mode.
2. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu.
3. Select Settings (9).
4. Select Bluetooth (6).
5. Select Search for New Device (4).
6. Press the left soft key for Yes at the "Activate Bluetooth" prompt.
7. Highlight the desired Bluetooth device, using the navigation keys, and press the left soft key for Select to Pair the devices.
8. Enter Passkey "0000", using the keypad, and then press the left soft key for Select.
9. The handset will display a brief message stating pairing followed by connecting.
10. After being successfully connected, the handset will return to the Bluetooth My Devices screen.

Thank you for your inquiry. The option for you to get off photos from the phone and transfer it to other device or to your personal computer is via multimedia messaging or MMS. If you wish to continue, you may need to configure the MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) settings on your handset that is through your service provider.

how can I troubleshoot a problem receiving a text from another phone?

I have had no problems getting text messages from anyone; recently, a friend who I text frequently gets my messages, but I do not get her texts. She says she has no problem, Tracfone says they see no problem on my phone.... what do I do?

Soft Reset: Turn of the phone. Remove and put back the battery after a couple of minutes (2-3).

Question

Battery will not stay charged

I just received my phone from Tracfone. I charged it for 4 hours. I can power up the phone but it immediately turns itself off. Do you have any advice? I have removed and reinstalled the battery already with no results.

Regarding your concern, upon checking the specifications and settings on the t301g Cell Phone (SGH-T301G), the phone does not support Bluetooth Object Push Profile and File Transfer Profile, which allow you to send information via Bluetooth.

The SGH-T301G handset only supports Bluetooth Headset Profile which allows the phone to be paired and connected to a Bluetooth headset.

Thank you for your correspondence. The "G" icon that you see on the phone is indicates that you are connected to the service provider’s GPRS network. While connected on this network, you can access internet data service. However, data plan from your service provider will be require to access on the internet.

PUK means Pin Unlock Key and it is required to unlock Pin when Pin is entered 3-10 times incorrectly. PUK is saved on the SIM card.
You need to contact your service provider to get the PUK.
Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."

Regarding about your concern, for you to delete text message without having to read it on the SGH-T301G handset, once you received the text message, press End key to avoid reading the text message.

To delete a Text Message follow the steps below:
1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu.
2. Select Messages.
3. Select the Inbox.
4. Highlight the Text Message to be deleted, using the navigation keys.
5. Press the left soft key for Options.
6. Select Delete.
7. Press the left soft key for Yes, to confirm the deletion of the Text Message.

To send a Multimedia Message to a certain email address, follow the steps below:

1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
2. Select Messages
3. Select Create New Message
4. Select Multimedia Message
5. With Subject highlighted, press the OK key
6. Enter the Subject text, using the keypad (up to 40 characters)
7. Press the left soft key for Options then select Save
8. Highlight Graphic, using the navigation keys, then press the OK key
9. Select Add then select from the following:
◦Take Photo (1)
■Adjust the brightness level, using the right and left navigation keys
■Zoom in or out, using the up and down navigation keys
■Using the display as a viewfinder, press the OK button to take the picture
■Press the left soft key to Add the Photo to the Multimedia Message
◦My Photos (2)
■Highlight the desired Photo, using the navigation keys
■Press the left soft key for Options
■Select to Add (2) the Photo to the Multimedia Message
◦Downloaded Graphics (3)
■Highlight the desired image, using the navigation keys
■Press the left soft key for Options
■Select to Add (2) the image to the Multimedia Message
10. Highlight Audio, using the navigation keys, then press the OK key

Regarding about your concern, there is unavailable configurable option to connect the SGH-T301G handset to the computer to transfer pictures.

However, you can send the pictures saved on the phone to an email address. Follow the procedures on the link below to send pictures to an email address.
