Thank you for your inquiry.

There are no configurable options available to lock any keys on the TracFone SGH-T301G handset. However, in Phone Lock mode, you can answer calls, but the phone must be unlocked to place outgoing calls (except to emergency numbers). The phone locks automatically the next time it is powered on and stays locked until you enter the correct lock code

Regarding your concern, we recommend having a soft reset on the t301g Cell Phone (SGH-T301G). Soft reset is removing the battery for about a minute on your phone and putting it back just for you to refresh the settings on the handset.

If this troubleshooting step will not work, we suggest contacting Trac Fone at their toll free number 1-800-867-7183 as they can help you troubleshoot this issue in a timelier manner.

For you to send a picture to an email address on the t301g Cell Phone (SGH-T301G), please follow the steps below:

1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu.
2. Select Messages.
3. Select Create New Message.
4. Select Multimedia Message.
5. With Subject highlighted, press the OK key.
6. Enter the Subject text, using the keypad (up to 40 characters).
7. Press the left soft key for Options then select Save.
8. Highlight Graphic, using the navigation keys, and then press the OK key.
9. Select Add (1) then select from the following: Take Photo, My Photos, and Downloaded Graphics.
10. Highlight Message, using the navigation keys, and then press the OK key.
11. Enter the Message text, using the keypad (up to 1000 characters).
12. Press the left soft key for Options then Select Save.
13. Press the right soft key for Send To.
14. Either enter an E-mail address, using the keypad, or press the left soft key for Options.
15. After selecting all Recipients, press the right soft key to Send the Multimedia Message to the Recipient(s).

Tip: You can send a Multimedia Message to up to 10 Recipients.

Where can I find more detailed instructions on how to add contacts, organize them into groups, etc.? Also where can I find a guide to what all the icons means?

Hello and thanks for reaching out! Normally our user manuals are the most detailed literature on our devices. I can however help you on your specific issues you have listed. See below:

Creating groups:
Once the Gmail is synced on the phone you will need to save the contacts to the phone memory so that you can add the contacts on a group. Once the contact has been synced just tap and hold the contact, then browse down to add to group and choose the group were you want to add the contact to.

To add an existing contact to a current group:
1. Press and tap > Groups > [type] (if prompted) > [name of group].
2. Tap Add member.
3. From the list of contacts, tap the contact(s) you want to add or tap Select all. (A green check-mark appears next to the selected entries.)
4. Tap Add to add the contact(s) to your group.
5. Touch an existing group.

I am unaware of a guide on the web that lists what individual icons mean, however when I get a new phone, I love to explore each icon. Not only is it fun to see the phones capabilities, but you will also learn a lot!

For you to add and delete entries on the auto reject list on the t301g Cell Phone (SGH-T301G), please follow the steps below:

To add an entry to the Reject List:
1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu.
2. Select Contacts.
3. Select Reject List.
4. Press the left soft key for Options.
5. Select Add New.
6. Select any of the following:
• Number
a. Enter the phone number, using the keypad.
b. Press the left soft key to Save.
• Contacts
a. Highlight the desired Contact, using the navigation keys.
b. Press the OK key to Check the Contact's box.
c. Press the left soft key to Add the Contact to the Reject List.
• Group
a. Highlight the desired Group, using the navigation keys.
b. Press the left soft key for Select to add the Group to the Reject List.
• Recent Contacts
a. Highlight the desired Contact, using the navigation keys.
b. Press the OK key to Check the Contact's box.
c. Press the left soft key to Add the Contact to the Reject List.
• Unknown Numbers
a. For all incoming calls with an Unknown or Anonymous caller ID.

To delete entries from the Reject List:
1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu.
2. Select Contacts.
3. Select Reject List.
4. Highlight the specific Phone Number, Contact, Group or Unknown Numbers.
5. Press the left soft key for Options.
6. Select Remove.
7. Choose Selected to remove the entry from the Reject List.

The Browser button on your Samsung SGH-T301G doesn't have a configurable option for you to disable as it is a default on the software of the handset. However, you may ask your service provider if they have an option to disable the data service for your browser.

Thank you for the inquiry. Regarding with the lock codes of the phone, you may try the 4 zeros "0000" or 8 zeros "00000000" as a default password of the phone. If this code doesn’t work on the phone, you may coordinate with your service provider which is Tracfone for further assistance. Did you receive pictures through text message (MMS)? This is the MMS setting on your handset that your service provider configured. with your phone turned off remove the backcover release at the back of your phone, slide the battery cover up and lift off, the sim card slot is located at the right top of your device.
make sure the gold contacts of the sim card are face down.

You can change the default navigation shortcut keys on the SGH-T301G phone by following the steps below.

1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu.
2. Select Settings (9).
3. Select Set Phone (4).
4. Select Shortcuts (2).
5. Highlight the desired Shortcut key to change, Up, Down, Left or Right.
6. Press the left soft key for Options.
7. Select Change (1).
8. Highlight the desired feature from the Shortcuts list, using the navigation keys.
9. Press the left soft key to Save the Shortcut key setting.
10. Repeat steps 5 thru 9 to change additional Shortcut keys.

Regarding your concern, the reason why it goes directly to her voicemail is because she had her phone set-up to her voicemail when somebody is calling her from her cellphone, she can disable that feature by contacting her Service Provider.

How do you unlock a puk/sim/pin number that has been blocked?

I just got the Samsung T301G Prepaid Phone (Tracfone) and somehow on accident I managed to put the puk/sim/pin number on, and when I went to turn on my phone the next time I had to enter the number which I didn't know what it was, so I tried some thing and now it's all locked up and I can't do anything on it. What do I do, and how do I know or get the correct number? Can I change the number once I get it?

PUK means Pin Unlock Key and it is required to unlock Pin when Pin is entered 3-10 times incorrectly. PUK is saved on the SIM card.
You need to contact your service provider to get the PUK.
Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."

WHY NOT ALL THE NUMBERS?

I BOUGHT A NEW CAR AND DOWNLOADED MY CELL PHONEBOOK INTO IT. ALL THE NUMBERS WENT IN EXCEPT MY HOME PHONE NUMBER. IT SAID MY PHONE WAS PREVENTING ME FROM DOING THIS. I used this phone for a long time with no problem, but now it doesn't work. In the upper left of the screen is a phone icon with a red line thru it-- what does that icon mean?
