phone will only allow emergency calls

When I take it out of my pocket frequently it will only allow emergency calls. I have to take the battery out then restart and it will work. What is wrong with it?

Hi climb!

Thank you for your inquiry. This message appears when all signals are lost. While this is displayed you may only dial emergency numbers such as 911, Police, Fire Department or perhaps an ambulance. However, if this continues for a long period of time, this could indicate that the SIM card may be damaged.

Since you already try to do a soft reset and still your having the same exact issue. We recommend contacting your service provider to investigate the possibility that a replacement SIM card would resolve this issue.

when you are on a call, then the icon will show on the center/bottom of the screen.
then just press the OK key and it will turn on- press again and it will turn off.--^_^--

What is the "PUK" number?

My phone has been locked up and now it is asking me to enter the "PUK" number, appears to be up to an 8 digit number. I did not set up such a number, not can I find the default one in the manual. Please help so I can continue to use this phone. Provider is Tracfone.

PUK means Pin Unlock Key and it is required to unlock Pin when Pin is entered 3-10 times incorrectly.

PUK is saved on the SIM card.
You need to contact your service provider to get the PUK.

Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."

Regarding on your concern, you can only turn on the speaker on t301g Cell Phone (SGH-T301G) when you are in a call, or immediately after you have dialed a number and pressed “send.” When you are in one of those circumstances, you can press the “OK” key to activate speakerphone mode, and “OK” again to turn it off.

Configuring the number of rings before a call goes to voicemail is something which is configured by the Service Provider by editing your account with them. This is not a setting which can be configured on the phone itself as it is part of the network services by your provider. To adjust the Ring Count, we recommend contacting the Service Provider for assistance with this issue.

Are you referring transferring pictures saved on the t301g Cell Phone (SGH-T301G) to the computer?

Regarding about your concern, Samsung does not offer a Data Kit software package, for the purpose of transferring data between the t301g Cell Phone (SGH-T301G) and a personal computer.

However, you can send images saved on your phone to an e-mail account. We recommend contacting your network provider to have the configuration settings for the SGH-T301G handset for you to send picture message.
