Regarding your concern, please see below for info concerning the volume on your device.

Volume Key

While in standby mode, press the volume key, located on the left side of the handset, down to zero until the phone vibrates. To exit the Silent Profile, press the volume key upto a desired setting to return to the previous audio profile setting.

The TracFone SGH-T301G handset will vibrate rather than ring, if enabled, when you receive a phone call, message or alert while in the Silent Profile. Also, please refer to the link below for steps on finding another ringtone that may be louder than the one you currently have.

However, you may contact your service provider which is TracFone and ask for compatible configuration or application to make email on the phone. Hi climb!

Thank you for your inquiry. This message appears when all signals are lost. While this is displayed you may only dial emergency numbers such as 911, Police, Fire Department or perhaps an ambulance. However, if this continues for a long period of time, this could indicate that the SIM card may be damaged.

Since you already try to do a soft reset and still your having the same exact issue. We recommend contacting your service provider to investigate the possibility that a replacement SIM card would resolve this issue.

What is the "PUK" number?

My phone has been locked up and now it is asking me to enter the "PUK" number, appears to be up to an 8 digit number. I did not set up such a number, not can I find the default one in the manual. Please help so I can continue to use this phone. Provider is Tracfone.

Thank you for your inquiry.

PUK means Pin Unlock Key and it is required to unlock Pin when Pin is entered 3-10 times incorrectly.

PUK is saved on the SIM card.
You need to contact your service provider to get the PUK.

Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."

The only method to transfer a picture to a PC is to send the picture to an Email address. There are no configurable options available to send a picture from a PC to the phone.

To send a Multimedia Message follow the steps below:

While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
Select Messages (4)
Select Create New Message (1)
Select Multimedia Message (2)
With Subject highlighted, press the OK key
Enter the Subject text, using the keypad (up to 40 characters)
Press the left soft key for Options then select Save (1)
Highlight Graphic, using the navigation keys, then press the OK key
Select Add (1) then select from the following:
Take Photo (1)
Adjust the brightness level, using the right and left navigation keys
Zoom in or out, using the up and down navigation keys
Using the display as a viewfinder, press the OK button to take the picture
Press the left soft key to Add the Photo to the Multimedia Message
My Photos (2)
Highlight the desired Photo, using the navigation keys
Press the left soft key for Options
Select to Add (2) the Photo to the Multimedia Message
Downloaded Graphics (3)
Highlight the desired image, using the navigation keys
Press the left soft key for Options
Select to Add (2) the image to the Multimedia Message
Highlight Audio, using the navigation keys, then press the OK key
Select Add (1) then select from the following:
Record Audio (1)
Press the OK key to start recording
To stop recording press the OK key

Enter the Message text, using the keypad (up to 1000 characters)
Press the left soft key for Options then Select Save (1)
Press the right soft key for Send To
Either enter a phone number/E-mail address, using the keypad, or press the left soft key for Options
Select the recipient type from the following:
Contacts List (1)
Highlight each Contact, using the navigation keys
Press the OK key to check the Contact's box
After selecting all Contacts, press the left soft key for Add
Recent Recipient (2)
Select either Number (1) or Email (2)
Highlight each phone number or Email address, using the navigation keys
Press the OK key to Check the Recent Recipient's box
Press the left soft key for Options
Select Add (1) or After selecting all recipient's, press the left soft key for Add or Select
Group (3)
Highlight a Group, using the navigation keys
Press the left soft key for Select to view the Group members
Highlight a Group Contact, using the navigation keys
Press the OK key to Check the Group Contact's box
After selecting all Group members, press the left soft key for Select
After selecting all Recipients, press the right soft key to Send the Multimedia Message to the Recipient(s)
Tip: You can send a Multimedia Message to up to 10 Recipients

Note: Although the TracFone SGH-T301G features a camera, there are no configurable options available for recording videos.

Even if it is a year old, it does not mean that you have to buy another battery for your device, if its still holding charge and it does not give you any problems there is no need to get a new battery.
