Thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately, upon checking the specifications and settings on the t301g Cell Phone (SGH-T301G), there is no configurable option to remove the browser option. This is the default setting of the phone.

However, you may contact your Service Provider to disable this service on the phone.

Question

What is the "PUK" number?

My phone has been locked up and now it is asking me to enter the "PUK" number, appears to be up to an 8 digit number. I did not set up such a number, not can I find the default one in the manual. Please help so I can continue to use this phone. Provider is Tracfone.

Thank you for your inquiry.

PUK means Pin Unlock Key and it is required to unlock Pin when Pin is entered 3-10 times incorrectly.

PUK is saved on the SIM card.
You need to contact your service provider to get the PUK.

Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."

Even if it is a year old, it does not mean that you have to buy another battery for your device, if its still holding charge and it does not give you any problems there is no need to get a new battery.

What does the image resembling a black sparkly walnut on the screen mean and why doesn't it let me use the phone?

Try to do a soft reset on the phone, just by taking off the battery and putting it back. Turn the phone on for a powercycle. There are no configurable options on how you can transfer files from from your computer using bluetooth, however you can transfer files from your phone to the computer via MMS

what is the correct battery for my phone?

I have a samsung tracphone, model SGH-T301G. I got a battery from another site, says it is a genuine samsung battery, but on standby, it only keeps a charge for maybe 4 days, if I use it, I have to recharge it after about 2 days. The original battery with the phone, I have had it for almost 2 years now, lasted a couple weeks on standby and even if I used it, would last at least a week! So, obviously that was the incorrect battery or a fake one that I just purchased! But I STILL need a proper, working, NEW battery!

Thank you for your inquiry. The "G" denotes the fact that the device has GPRS attached to the network. You'll see a "G" as soon as the GPRS signal is obtained and the icon will be placed in the notification area of the taskbar.
