Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry. The "headphone" icon or the headset icon pertains on the profile of your phone that refers to the usage of the phone with a wired headset connected on it. You can find the other listed icons on the manual of this phone:
http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200902/20090203055202234/tracfone_t301g_ug_eng.pdf

Or you may also surf the internet for possible resources for all the icons that you can see on your Samsung phone.

You CAN connect this phone to your Windows PC with the Samsung USB data transfer/charging cable Model # APCBS10BBE (available here, or from amavon or evay for a few dollars) and New PC Studio (very easy to use).

First, find the Samsung "New_PC_Studio_1.5.1.10064_2" application here for another phone and install it. After installation is complete, connect the cable to the phone and PC and then you can transfer images both ways as well as create/sync your contacts on the PC and load them on to the phone.

To get that annoying stuff ("Tracfone" and the airtime display) off your screen on the Samsung T301G, follow these instructions. Click menu, press "Prepaid", Scroll down to and select "Airtime Display", and then scroll down to "Off", and press select again. That should get rid of the airtime and minute display. For the Tracfone thing at the top of the screen, Choose "Menu" again, go to "Settings", Select "Set Display", Select "Main Display", Scroll down to "Idle Screen Display", Select "Text Position", and press this key (>) until you get to the "Off", and then press save. Hope this helps!(:

If you have the Samsung t301g, Press and hold 1 to call the voicemail. It uses minutes, and they ask you questions regarding your voicemail settings. You can set it up using that depending on if you want to give the caller a greeting or record one to be played to the caller. You also view your voicemail messages by pressing and holding 1 when you've set your voicemail up.

PIN1 (Personal Identification Number 1)
Used to limit access to the SIM.
Saved on the SIM Card

Required to unlock Pin1 when Pin1 is entered 3 times incorrectly
Saved on the SIM Card
Contact Service Provider: Service Provider Contact Information

PUK2 (Pin Unlock Key 2)
Required to unlock Pin2 when Pin2 is entered 3 times incorrectly.
Saved on the SIM Card
Contact Service Provider: Service Provider Contact Information

NCK (Network Control Key)
Required to release the Service Providers network lock. This code is proprietary to the Service Provider.
Saved on the Handset
Contact Service Provider: Service Provider Contact Information

SIM Lock
Restricts access to handset by "binding" the SIM to the handset. In other words, replacing the SIM card with a different SIM will still produce a password prompt.

The default passcode for the phone is "0000" or "00000000". There is no way that we can retrieve the passcode that was set on the phone.

Thank you for your inquiry. Configuring the number of rings before a call goes to voicemail is something which is configured by the Service Provider by editing your account with them. This is not a setting which can be configured on the phone itself as it is part of the network services by your provider. To adjust the Ring Count, we recommend contacting the Service Provider for assistance with this issue.

If your incoming calls are going straight to your voicemail, then you need to contact your service provider so they can configure the number of rings on your phone so that the phone will ring before the call will be transferred to the voicemail. Your service provider can configure it upto 10 rings.

Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding this problem with the phone, we are not sure if it's a network or phone issue. You might have a problem with the network that's why you can't call out or even receive incoming calls. One troubleshooting step that you can do is to try a soft reset on the phone by turning the phone off and removing the battery for about a minute or two. If the soft reset on the phone doesn't resolve the issue. You can call you Service Provider and ask if there is a problem with you network. If there is no problem with the network. It is best calling our Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot this issue.
At your earliest convenience, please call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Thank you for your inquiry. There is actually no C incon on Samsung phones. I think it's a G icon and the G icon on top of the phone stands for GPRS. The "GP" or "G" icon indicates the phone is within the GPRS realm. GPRS enabled areas support data and other advanced network features, including internet connections, messaging and other data related functions. There is not a way to remove this icon, it will appear whenever you are within a GPRS realm.

The icon of a phone with a red line at the top left of the phone screen means that the phone is out of your service area; you cannot make or receive calls except for emergency calls.

Please try to soft reset the phone (turn off and remove the battery for about a minute and put it back in the phone and turn it on again). If the icon still appears on the phone screen, kindly visit your Network Service Provider to check on the network connection of your phone or in your area. Otherwise you will have to contact Samsung Technical Support 1-888-987-4357 Direct Hotline for further assistance. Your phone will have to be Reset (Reset will delete all information saved on the phone memory), however if problem still persist then you will be offered to send the phone to Samsung Service Center to be evaluated and repaired. The repair is Free for as long as it is In Warranty with Samsung and has no physical and water damage on it. Further repair details will be explained to you on the call.
