Does a T201 have speakerphone capability or is it purely thru a head set?

Net10 advertised this as having hands-free speaker phone capability. I have checked the manual and don't see any way to get speakerphone without a headset..

how to set time and date on my t201g

I can get to the set time and date page BUT, all I can do is change the date format mm/dd/yyyy sequence and change the time format from 12 hr. to 24 hr. I am unable to access the time or AM/PM sections.

There are no configurable options to set the time and date manually on your Samsung SGH-T201G phone. The handset is governed with an automatic update by your Service Provider.

Tip: Automatic updates of time and date do not change the time you have set for alarm settings or calendar memos.

And if you want ti purchase a back cover for the phone, as of the moment, the back cover for the phone is not available for purchase at this time nor is there an estimated date of when it will be in stock. Another option would to contact your service provider for a possible insurance claim. Thank you for your inquiry. A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you will need to get a PUK code from your service provider to unlock your SIM card.

I have two of these phones & I want to add all the contacts from one to the other. I saved all contacts to the sim card, but when I swap sim cards in the phones it says "sim card rejected" What's up?

Thank you for your correspondence. The error message on the phone is indicates that the phone recognized only the original SIM card that has been activated first. However, you can contact your service provider which is TracFone and check with them if they can authorize the other SIM card to the phone so that you can transfer your contacts. You may call up their Customer Care toll free number at 1-800-867-7183.

If you need to transfer pictures, you may ask your service provider for assistance in setting up Multi Media Messaging service on the phone to send and receive pictures to another device.

We cannot assist in unlocking the phone for use on another network. We hold a proprietary licensing agreement with your Service Provider and it would be in violation of this agreement to assist in unlocking the phone. Your Service Provider has these codes and should be able to provide support for this.

Please Note: Unlocking of the phone, although at the discretion of the service provider is possible, will void all Samsung warranties for support or service. Features that are available on the intended network may not be accessible on the alternate network. Features on the alternate network may not be available this phone as these features are not those of the network on which the phone was intended to be used, and therefore, are not programmed.

How do i set up call forewarding?

NET10 gives me the runaround on this issue and i found this phone is a bit different for example to DEACTIVATE Call Forewarding you enter in #004# instead of ##004# i want to get this set up with Google Voice can anyone help me the usual *004*1xxxxxxxxxx# method DOES not work it says not allowed please help if anyone got call forewarding working on this phone!

Thanks for your question!

Regarding your concern, when you check the liquid indicator (white strip) at the back of the phone, and there is a red mark on it, this is a sign of water damage on the phone.

Most issues may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup warranty service for your phone, if it is determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the phone has failed, our Repair Administrators create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the Phone. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and that the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, it will be repair under warranty.

For troubleshooting and questions related to possible repairs we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience through our toll free number 1-888-987-HELP (1-888-987-4357).

A Customer Service Representative will be able to assist you between the hours 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time. The defective product will need to be sent to our repair center and a Proof of Purchase is required. The Repair Administrator will assign RMA # for the repair that will need to be written under our address on the outside of the package being sent. The phone will be tested and inspected for quality assurance while in our facilities.
