Does a T201 have speakerphone capability or is it purely thru a head set?

Net10 advertised this as having hands-free speaker phone capability. I have checked the manual and don't see any way to get speakerphone without a headset..

Hi!

While on call, press the right soft key for Loudspeaker to put the call on speaker mode.

Press the same key to put the phone back to regular calling.

Hi there.

Thank you for your inquiry. World Time allows you to view the time of day or night in over 30 different cities around the world, within all 24 time zones, and is very useful when traveling. When using the World Time feature it is not only possible to set your local time zone but the visiting time zone as well.

To set the home and visiting time zones follow the steps below:

1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
2. Select Tools
3. Select World Time
4. Set the home time zone (Blue number 1), using the navigation keys
5. Press the down navigation key then set the visiting time zone (Red number 2), using the navigation keys
6. Press the right soft key for Back to save the World Time settings

Note: Changes may not take effect until the handset is power cycled (turned off then turned on again)

There are different reasons why sometimes you hear echoes on your phone. It could be a network issue, or your calling someone on speaker phone, etc.
If you're on the speaker phone, you can disable it by pressing options while on call and set it back to normal mode.

You may also try to do a soft reset on the phone by powering it off and removing the battery then placing it back again to reboot the handset.

If it didn't work, please call the Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience

It's PUK is blocked...

Okay, this is my first phone, it's prepaid and I have no minutes on in, right now. It's net10. I looked everywhere but I can't find a code for it. What should I do? I have no idea what a PUK is or why it's blocked. I can only make SOS calls. Sorry for being dumb. :( can you help this moron please?

Thank you for your correspondence. It indicates the phone has been inputted of several times of incorrect Personal Identification Number (PIN) after that it will ask for PIN Unlock Key (PUK) and if you again several time of incorrect PUK code it will prompt you on PUK blocked. PUK blocked indicates that the SIM card for the phone is totally locked up and it is unusable now. You may have to contact your service provider and ask for the new SIM card (Subscriber Identification Module card). Activation may require on this option.

Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding about your concern, you do not have to remove the metal fastener that holds the SIM card since it is part of the handset itself.

To remove the SIM card on the SGH-T201G handset:

1. Press and hold the red END key to turn off the phone (if on).
2. Slide the battery cover (upper portion) toward the bottom end of the phone then lift the cover off (lower portion).
3. Lift the battery up (lower end) and pull it away from the phone.
4. To remove the SIM card, gently pull and slide the SIM card away from the slot.

To inset back the battery and the back cover:
1. Insert the top end of the battery first, matching the gold contacts on the inside of the battery to those on the phone.
2. Press lightly on the bottom end of the battery down into the phone until it slips into place.
3. Place the battery cover over the battery and slide the battery cover back into place.

How to transfer contacts from one T201g to another?

Is there a way to easily transfer contacts from one T201g phone to another? I can't use the SIM card because when I move the SIM card from one phone to the other the phone starts up and says the SIM card is not authorized and does not allow me to retrieve information from it.

how to set time and date on my t201g

I can get to the set time and date page BUT, all I can do is change the date format mm/dd/yyyy sequence and change the time format from 12 hr. to 24 hr. I am unable to access the time or AM/PM sections.

There are no configurable options to set the time and date manually on your Samsung SGH-T201G phone. The handset is governed with an automatic update by your Service Provider.

Tip: Automatic updates of time and date do not change the time you have set for alarm settings or calendar memos.
