If you're trying to use a different simcard or Service Provider on the phone, you need to get the Network Control Key (NCK) or Unlocking code from the original Service Provider of the phone. Once you have the Unlocking code then please contact Samsung Technical Support 1-888-987-4357 Direct Hotline to be assisted in using the code on the phone. The phone should be with you so that the representative can walk you through the steps.

That icon appears when the Silent Profile is set. In Silent mode, your phone displays information, but the speaker is muted and the phone vibrates to alert you.

To exit the Silent Profile, hold down the pound key (#) for about 2 seconds. You will see a confirmation message displayed to exit the Silent Profile.

Hi pMartins,

Thank you for your inquiry.

You can set the ringer for incoming call by going through the Sound Profile Settings. Handset sounds, such as audible message alerts and ringtones are all profile dependent. Profiles contain all the information associated with the volume settings and levels of the handset. This includes ringers, alarms, notifications, and system sounds.

The profile message alert type & tone allows you to choose the alert type that sounds when receiving a new text messages and voice calls. There are four different profiles that are preloaded and all have the ability to be edited.

Kindly check the link below for the steps on how to edit the sound profiles.

For troubleshooting, you may first to a different battery on the phone to isolate the issue. It might be application error, a software problem or the battery itself that's why the phone keeps on turning off by itself. You can go to any of your Service Provider store so they can test the battery for you.

Most issues may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. If after troubleshooting your phone is not doing anything, then we can set up a repair on your product. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged. And if you have insurance with your Service Provider then you may try to ask for a replacement phone from them.

Should you desire additional assistance for more troubleshooting steps and possible repair, we invite you to call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357 between the hours 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Hi!

It means that the phone is in silent/ or vibrate mode.

Here's how to place and to exit the phone in silent/ vibrate mode:

To place the handset in the Silent Profile, hold down the pound key (#) for about 2 seconds. The silent profile icon will appear at the top right corner of the display to indicate the handset is the Silent Profile. To exit the Silent Profile, perform the same action to return to the previous audio profile setting. You will see a confirmation message displayed each time you enter or exit the Silent Profile.

The SGH-T155G handset will vibrate rather than ring, if enabled, when you receive a phone call, message or alert while in the Silent Profile.

Did you charged the phone for at least 8 hours from the time you’ve received it?
Was it accidentally been dropped or exposed to liquids?
Have you tried downloading any third party application before you experienced this kind of issue on the phone?

For troubleshooting, try to use a different battery on the phone to isolate the issue. It might be application error, a software problem or the battery itself that's why the phone immediately turns off. You can also go to any of your Service Provider store so they can test the battery for you and for them to evaluate the handset.

If your phone is not doing anything, most issues may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. And if after troubleshooting the handset still not working then we can set up a repair on your product. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair; our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

For troubleshooting and questions related to possible repairs we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience through our toll free number 1-888-987-HELP (1-888-987-4357).
