Thank you for inquiry. You may change the input method on your text messaging using the listed steps below.

While on the screen where you can enter a text message:

1. To change the text input mode, press the Right soft key.
2. Scroll to the mode you prefer and press the Select soft key or . The text input mode indicator displays in
the lower right corner of your display.
The following options are available:
• T9 (English)
• ABC mode
• Number
• Symbol
3. When the Text input mode indicator that you desire displays, you may enter text in the text message box using
the selected text input mode.

Regarding about your concern, we cannot assist in unlock the phone for use on another network. We hold a proprietary licensing agreement with your Service Provider and it would be in violation of this agreement to assist in unlocking the phone.

Your Service Provider has these codes and should be able to provide support for this.

Please Note: Unlocking of the phone, although at the discretion of the service provider is possible, will void all Samsung warranties for support or service. Features that are available on the intended network may not be accessible on the alternate network. Features on the alternate network may not be available this phone as these features are not those of the network on which the phone was intended to be used, and therefore, are not programmed.

As to whether or not a phone of this type will be available for the network of your choice in the future, we are only able to provide information regarding models that are currently on the market for sale, as any pre-release information would be subject to change and could therefore be inaccurate at the time of launch.

How do I set the SGH-t139 Alert Type to Vibrate then Melody?

The somewhat confusing manual says to press Menu>Settings>Sound Settings>Incoming Call>Alert Type, then select Vibrate then Melody. The problem is that under Incoming Call there is no option, "Alert Type."

Regarding your concern, the alert type field on the t139 Cell Phone (SGH-T139) is also set for incoming calls. Once you set the desired ringtone on the phone, select the Vibrate then Melody on alert type.

How come my phone won't let me save one specific number?

Whenever I try to save a specific number to my phone it says that the contact is already in use and its not in my adress book and it won't let me save it. I dont understand why it thinks its in use and its not. I already tried to reset the phone and nothing has happend! Please help me. Thanks.

Please try doing a soft reset by turning off the phone, then remove the battery and put it back in and power on the phone again. Try to add the contact again by following the steps below.

1. Press Phonebook > Add New Contact (1).
2. Enter name and at least one point of contact (mobile, home, etc.).
3. Press Save.

Thank you for your correspondence. There is no USB driver that can be download on our website. The USB cable for the phone is for sharing internet from the phone to the computer, you may to contact your service provider which is T-Mobile and ask for the compatible software for the phone. You can call up their Customer Care toll free number at 1-800-937-8997. However, if you’re trying to transfer media file to the computer, you may have to send it via txt and then send it to your e-mail address so that you can retrieve it to the computer.

Configuring the number of rings before a call goes to missed call/voicemail is something which is configured by the Service Provider by editing your account with them. This is not a setting which can be configured on the phone itself as it is part of the network services by your provider. To adjust the Ring Count, we recommend contacting the Service Provider for assistance with this issue.

We do not have any available software or driver for the SGH-T139.

You may contact your service provider and ask them if they have a software or driver that you can use in connecting your phone to your computer to transfer files.

If you wants to transfer pictures from the phone to the computer, then here's how you can transfer.

Transferring pictures between the SGH-T139 and a PC requires three things: the ability to send and receive picture messages on the device, a PC with an Internet connection, and an e-mail account.

Note: Please check with T-Mobile and about service charges associated with picture messages. Also, please check with your Internet and/or e-mail provider about applicable service charges. Samsung is not responsible for any charges incurred.

From Phone To PC

1.Press Menu > Messages (5) > Create Messages (1) > Picture Message (2)
2.Highlight the Image option and press Add > Photos (2)
3.Highlight the desired image thumbnail and press Add > Send To > New Recipient (3) > Email Address (2)
4.Enter the e-mail address and press Send
From PC To Phone

Sending photos to your SGH-T139 is as simple as sending an e-mail to your tmomail.net address that was assigned to you when your T-Mobile account was activated. Generally this e-mail account is [yournumber]@tmomail.net (without the brackets). Please contact your service provider.

In this menu, you can record an audio file up to one minute long and then immediately send it as a message.
1. From Idle mode, press Menu ➔ Fun & Apps ➔ Voice recorder and press the Select soft key or .
2. Press Record and speak into the microphone.
3. Press Stop when you finish recording.
Note: The recording automatically saves to the voice list.
4. Press Options

Question

Cannot pair phone with Car Nav unit, will not recognize PIN

The phone will not pair with the NAV unit in the car. I previously had it connected but disconnected the phone when I put the car in storage. I am trying to reconnect the phone to the nav unit (Pioneer AVIC-u310BT). The phone will recognize the Pioneer Nav, but then it asks for a PIN. I input the pin (1111) and a message comes up that says it cannot pair. I just tried a Nokia phone and it paired fine using the above pin. It's like hitting the 1111 on the keyboard is not sending the correct info to the Nav unit. All I get is the **** on the phone display so I don't know what is being sent.
