Trouble turning phone on

When I press the power on/off key all I get is the phone model number. I have to repeat this several times before the phone actually turns on. Yesterday it took 27 tries before the phone turned on. What is wrong? How do I correct this?

Are you referring to the PIN code of the SIM card inserted on the phone?
Please call your service provider regarding the issue of resetting the PIN code for your SIM card.
If this is in regards to the passcode to access the device, the default phone lock code of your phone is "0000" or "00000000". If the default phone lock code did not work then we can do a reset on the phone. If a factory reset is necessary, please call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.
