Adjusting the volume

1. In the Idle mode, press the Left soft key to access Main Menu.
2. Select Settings > Set Sound Profiles.
3. Highlight the Normal option and press the Edit soft key.
4. Scroll Left or Right to Phone tab.
5. Scroll Up or Down to Volume setting.
6. Press OK to select Change.
7. Scroll Left or Right to adjust volume.
8. Press the OK key, and then press the Save soft key.
While a call is in progress, press Up or Down to adjust the earpiece volume.

Hi there,

While on an incoming or outgoing call, the OK key functions as the Speakerphone button. Press it to enable the Speakerphone. You will see the Speakerphone icon on the SGH-A137 handset display to signify the Speakerphone option is enabled. Use the volume keys (located on the left side of the handset) to adjust the Speakerphone volume. Repeat the same steps again to disable the Speakerphone, for privacy.

Question

Why does this phone pocket dial 911 while locked and can it be resolved

9 times in 6 months my phone dialed 911 while in my work jacket or pants....it would be impossible to accidently hit unlock, star, then 9, then 1, then 1 perfectly in my pocket that many times in 6 months....the police came this last time and my husband was almost arrested.....is there a flaw....I just would like some answers....I love my phone...I do not want to buy another one if they all have this flaw.....Help

The TracFone SGH-T101G handset features two different methods to change the current text input mode.

Quick Text Input Mode

The asterisk key ( * ) functions as the Quick Text Input Mode button. Press and hold it to switch the key entry functions from T9 Mode, Alphabet Mode or Numeric Mode. Press and hold the pound key ( # ) to enable the Symbols Mode.

Custom Text Input Mode

1.Press the left soft key for Options
2.Select Input Mode (4)
3.Choose from the following Text Input Modes:
■ab (1)
■Ab (2)
■AB (3)
■T9ab (4)
■T9Ab (5)
■T9AB (6)
■123 (7)
■Symbols (8)
Note: There are no configurable options available to change the default text input mode.

T9 Mode

The T9 mode allows you to enter words with only one keystroke per letter. Each key on the keypad has more than one letter; for example, pressing the 5 key can enter J, K, or L. The T9 mode automatically compares the series of keystrokes you make with an internal linguistic dictionary to determine the most likely word, thus requiring far fewer keystrokes than the traditional Alphabet mode.

Note: If more than one word shares the same numeric sequence (such as, “263” for both “and” & “cod”), T9 Word provides the most commonly used word (such as, “and” for “263”). Briefly press the 0 key to display other words, if any are available.

Tip: Briefly press the asterisk key ( * ) to change the following case styles:

◦T9 AB, for All upper-case letters. For example, SAMSUNG
◦T9 Ab, for leading upper-case. For example, Samsung
◦T9 ab, for all lower-case letters. For example, samsung

Alphabet Mode

This mode allows you to enter letters by pressing the key labeled with the letter you want. Press the keypad letter once, twice, three, or four times until it displays.

Tip: Briefly press the asterisk key ( * ) to change the following case styles:

◦Abc, for leading upper-case. For example, Samsung
◦ABC, for All upper-case letters. For example, SAMSUNG
◦abc, for all lower-case letters. For example, samsung

Numeric Mode

This mode allows you to enter the numbers on the keypad.

Symbols Mode

This mode allows you to enter symbols, such as punctuation marks, periods, exclamation marks, etc.

Question

How do I disassemble the phone? How do I fix water damage?

I dropped the phone in water. The main screen was lighting up, but the phone was not functionable nor could I see anything on the screen but light. I quickly dried the phone and removed battery and SIM card. I do not want to send it in to be fixed, I want to fix it myself.

Due to Samsung's policy with repairs, any damage encountered to the phone through water or other liquids can and in most cases will cause corrosion to the inner workings of the handset. In these circumstances, it is no longer feasible to attempt to repair the phone; consequently, the phones received in this condition into our North Texas repair facilities are shipped back to the customer un-repaired. If you have insurance through your service provider please contact them for a possible replacement phone. Also, if you purchased the phone with a credit card most companies offer buyers protection. Contact your Credit Card Company to inquire about this program.

Regarding your concern, you can try to disable the snooze option of the alarm so it will only snooze one time and not repetitive. However if you intend to disable the alarm please follow the steps below:

To disable an Alarm follow the steps below:
1.While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
2.Select Alarms
3.Select one of the following Alarms:
oWake-up Alarm, for a morning Alarm
oAlarm 1, for a daily Alarm
oAlarm 2, for a daily Alarm
oAlarm 3, for a daily Alarm
oAlarm 4, for a daily Alarm
4.Highlight Alarm, using the navigation keys
5.Set to Off, using the navigation keys
6.Press the left soft key to Save the Alarm settings
