Has the phone been dropped to the floor? Is there any physical damage? Has the phone been exposed to liquid?

Try to do a soft reset on the phone by powering it off and removing the battery then placing it back again to reboot the handset.

Question

How do I remove or hide the GPS and/or Web from my Samsung T101G Tracfone?

When I turn my phone on, a lot of the time the GPS/Web shows up on the display screen and the only way
I can get rid of it is to turn phone off and retry. NOTE: I do not use GPS/Web on the phone.

Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry. As I have checked the specifications of your phone,it doesn't support the GPS and web browsing feature. However if your phone gives you an option to go to these features, we highly advise you to call your Service Provider to check for options to deactivate it.

Note: Your phone will not give you an option to uninstall an application if it is a preloaded application on the phone, there are no configurable options to delete or alter the preloaded applications.

Thank you for your inquiry. If you're having problem with your SIM card that you're using on your phone. You may contact the manufacturer of that or your service provider for them to give you the information for that issue. As the manufacturer of the SIM card, they will give you the option to resolve it from their end. What we can offer as passcodes for any passwords that the phone is asking would be “0000” or “00000000”. If these codes will not work, then call the Samsung Customer Support Center at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Hi there,

Thank you for your correspondence. The serial number on product registration will be the IMEI number of the handset, you can get the IMEI number underneath the battery of the phone and it’s going to be at the back of the phone itself after taking out the battery and see for the bar codes.

You may also follow the steps below for registering a product.

1. from the www.samsung.com/us Home page, click on OWNERS located at the upper right side part of the page.

2. The "OWNERS LOGIN" page would then appear. If you have already registered previously, fill out the necessary fields on the boxes on the Log in side. Then click on Log in.

2. The "OWNERS LOGIN" page would then appear. Fill out the necessary fields on the boxes on Register and then click on Sign up.

3. You can now register another product by clicking on "Register a Product"

3. Once you're registered, you can now register your products by clicking on "Register a Product"

4. On the "Register your Product" page, select "Mobile" for Product Group and "Cell Phones" for Category. Then you will be prompted to enter the IMEI number and this is will be the serial numbers.

Note: After filling the box for the IMEI number, wait for the website for a minute or two to be accepted. Once it's been accepted, the rest of the Product Information Fields will be filled out automatically.

5. Fill out the other fields, especially the ones marked with '*', then click on "SUBMIT". The product should then be displayed on the "My Account" page once successfully registered.

How can I unblock this phone (3 of them purchased in the US) so I can use any carrier

Hello there, I travel to different countries and purchased three of this in the US. I would like to use them wherever I go and can buy prepaid SIM cards. How could I unlock this phone? I am pretty savvy when it comes to computers.

Hi there!

There is no configurable option to disable the browser button on the handset that would connect you to the server.

However, you may not subscribe to your service provider's data plan if you do not want the phone to access internet.

How to make alarm quit

all my alarms are set at "off" - still every night at 3:00 a.m. the alarm goes off - it goes off again 5 minutes later. I have never put an alarm on this phone - please help me to remove it. It wakes me up every night!!!

Pertaining to your query, you can try to disable the snooze option of the alarm so it will only snooze one time and not repetitive. However if you intend to disable the alarm please follow the steps below:
To disable an Alarm follow the steps below:
1.While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
2.Select Alarms
3.Select one of the following Alarms:
oWake-up Alarm, for a morning Alarm
oAlarm 1, for a daily Alarm
oAlarm 2, for a daily Alarm
oAlarm 3, for a daily Alarm
oAlarm 4, for a daily Alarm
4.Highlight Alarm, using the navigation keys
5.Set to Off, using the navigation keys
6.Press the left soft key to Save the Alarm settings

How do I change the function of the soft keys to disable the browser?

I carry my phone in my pocket and invariably the browser button will get pushed and burn up all my airtime. What I would like to do is change the softkey on the keypad so you can't access the browser from there. Or alternately disable the browser alltogether.

There's no configurable option for you to change the key for your browser on your Samsung phone. However, you may try to ask your current service provider on how to disable the browser on your handset as this is a paid service from them.

Hi, I just wanted to know if your Verizon Motorola Phone uses a SIM card. Because, if it does the best way to transfer phone numbers to your Samsung Phone is to save all the numbers on the SIM card and put the SIM card into the Samsung phone. Your Samsung phone will read and recognize your SIM card. You will be receiving a notification if you want to save the numbers on the phone memory. Another way would be to check if your Motorola phone has the option to send phone numbers via Bluetooth. You can also send phone numbers via Bluetooth if your phones has that feature. And for your last option, if in case your phone doesn’t have SIM card and it doesn’t have the option to send phone numbers via Bluetooth is to call your Service Provider and let them transfer the phone numbers to your Samsung phone.

There's a way for you to try transferring phone book names & numbers however you need a software for you to do this thing. I highly suggest to contact your current service provider if they can give you that software as a back up from their system. Most likely this is a paid service from them.

Are you having a phone lock message or you would like to unlock your phone for adifferent network?

Unlocking the phone to use it for a different network requires permission from your current service provider as We hold a proprietary licensing agreement with them.

Contact your current service provider for assistance on how to unlock it using the unlock code they will provide.If the phone has a "Phone lock" and it's asking for a passcode, use the last 4 digits of your phone number as a default passcode.

If you are having "PIN LOCK" or "PUK LOCK", it's a lock on the simcard and you can ask for assistance with your service provider to help you with the PUK or PIN CODE to unlock it.

If the phone has a "Phone lock" and it's asking for a passcode, use "0000” or “00000000” as a default passcode.
