I unlocked my Tab with cellunlocker and the unit works overseas. I bought an adapter for a USB stick but it will not work for me. However I know other people have gotten that to work.

You are either not having a good internet connection, or you need more memory unless your connection can not handle the software from goggle store, or you do not have an account upstanding with goggle.

Please try to do a soft reset. Turn of the tablet for 1-2 minutes and turn it back on.

You can also try to clear data of the Google Play Store.

In order for you to Clear data, please follow the steps provide below:
1. From the home screen, touch Application
2. Select Settings
3. Select Applications
4. Select Manage applications.
5. Tap All tab
6. Select the Play Store
7. Tap Clear data

If clearing data won't work, we recommend you to do a Factory Reset.

Hi bajajab, thanks for reaching out. To change the name of a folder you added to the home screen quickly tap the folder. A window will pop up with a box where you can type in the folder name.

Please go to the webpage, register product, make sure you have selected the proper device (product) The product webpage has smart in it, and will not accept a serial number, that does not match the product. Hope this helps.

If you are using the stock browser...simply enter "about:debug" without the quotes in the URL line and click go. Next open the settings for the browser and look for Debug, click that. Now you should se an option that says UA String...click that. Select what mode you want then go back to browsing. Remember however that this setting can and often does revert back to default if the unit is turned off then back on.

Currently, SGH-I957 is operating on Android version 3.2 (Honeycomb).

Samsung is in close communication with both Google and our carrier partners to upgrade eligible devices to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as quickly and as smoothly as possible. Specific models that are upgradable to ICS will vary by market. Other specifics for the ICS upgrade in the U.S. have not been announced.

Slow charging

I am using the original cables and power. I basically have to turn the tablet off to let a charge slowly build. I have soft reset, hard reset and a factory reset and nothing works. I get the "MTP" connected with a red 'x' through the battery. I have never gotten any update for my device. I would think that there should have been one.

Have you checked your connection terminals, on both the cables and plug and your device, if there is no obstructions, you may have worn down your battery.

Check the Software on Your Mobile Device
1.From the Home screen, touch Applications > Settings > About phone.
2.The Build number and Baseband version show the current software version on your mobile device.
3. Baseband version : I957UCKJ7

Please check the information listed below for the charging time for your tablet.

Initial charging time: 6-8 hours
Regular Charging time: 2-4 hours

You may also drop by at your service provider's corporate or local store to try using a different charger to check if it would work.

If any of these won’t work, we would be glad to give you further assistance. I need help with Samsung Dive

I just set up a Samsung account on my Tab, and turned on the "remote controls" setting under security. When I log onto the "Dive" website it tells me I need to register a mobile device. Do I need to wait for the account to activate or is it because I'm using this device overseas with a local Sim card?

Why won't Galaxy 8.9 Tab connect to kies via USB

I have tried to get my 8.9 Tab to connect on two different computers to Kies. I even took it down to the AT&T store and they went above and beyond and downloaded Kies and attempted it there. I've reset the tablet, uninstalled keys and drivers, reinstalled everything and still same error. This device is not compatible with Kies 2.0

I am at my end with this tablet. It has never connected to Kies. Does anyone know what the root of the issue is?

GOTPIT-I have shared in this frustration but finally got it to work on my pc win 7 64 desktop. I installed the latest .net from microsoft (4.5) then ran windows update. I had to use the first usb port on the back of the pc and it worked. I was able to update the 8.9 to ICS. I cannot do this on my laptop however.

I'm guessing its because the 8.9 has specific power needs and some usb ports do not provide enough. My best guess.

GARBAGE IN UPPER RIGHT OF THE SCREEN

IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF MY SCREEN THERE ARE A BUNCH OF VERY SMALL LETTERS AND NUMBERS WHICH CHANGE CONTINUOUSLY. WHAT DID I DO TO CAUSE THEM TO APPEAR AND HOW DO I GET RID OF THEM?

you must have gone into setting by accident and you hit show usage, try going into settings and close usage

upgrade wont support card readers

hi I updated to 4.0 on my galaxy tab8.9 and now my credit card readers wont work. whats up with that? They still work on the old version. I like the new version but need my readers to work for my business. shed some light please please.

First, you should have gone to police and have the serial number, second, did you have a tracking app. and did you lock the screen. that way no one would be able to use it, especially if you had a password.
