Are you plugged into power? If you are try it without power connected. If the "large speaker," is powered try putting a power filter between it and the wall. I have this same issue with multiple devices when using the Aux jack in my car and not using the power cord seems to alleviate it.

I have the same issue whenever I plug any standard headphone cable in. If I use the headphones with a microphone therefore 4 rings on the plug it is fine but anything standard doesn't work. I have tried my Bose noise cancelling headphones and the line in auxillary jack in my truck, each time without power plugged in and it pops with every button press or song change. Looking around other line forums it appears we are not alone.

Nope. I tried everything. It is a firmware issue i believe and unless samsung looks this seriously, this product is defective.

I have the same issue. It is driving me crazy. I am not plugged into power when I am listening to music in my truck via the aux port. I have tried it connected with a "stereo" plug and the plug with three "rings" that says it is designed for the Focus S. My Focus didn't do this when connected the same way to my truck aux port. Has anyone had any luck finding a work around? Hopefully Samsung monitors these forums and will respond. :)

Your mobile device supports Czech, Danish, German, English (United Kingdom), English (United States), Spanish, French, Italian, Hungarian, Dutch, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Finnish, Swedish, Greek, Russian, Korean, Chinese (Simplified, PRC), Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan), and Japanese.

To change the language, go to Settings > System > Region & Language.

Some changes will require that you restart your phone.

Display Language: Change system language
Region Format: Change time/date formatting
Short Date: Change date format (YYYY/MM/DD, MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY)
Long Date: Change long date format
System Locale: Change country or region
Browser & Search Language: Change language for Bing & Internet Explorer

Changing the display language will change all the items.

Will you be producing some docking stations for the Focus S SGH-i937 ?

Hi,
I really like the phone, but it would be a lot better if I could get a car dock for it so I can use it as my turn-by-turn GPS. I'd also like to purchase a dock for my desktop to set it in for charging. It looks like it might fit into the docks for the Galaxy S II, but I don't want to order them without knowing if it'll actually work.

Try to add words to your dictionary so they will appear on the suggestion bar.

Audio Popping Noise

The SAMSUNG FOCUS S phone is seriously problematic when it comes to audio playback in car using the headphones out and AUX in of the car. Several people have this issue. There is a huge popping noise in between playback, while connecting, while pausing, and a constant hizz while playing.

is there a problem with the music controls ?

on my focus i have no problems with the music controls but when i got the "focus s" the same earphones that came with the phone are not working the same way .it takes 2 to 3 pushes to pause and the volume does work and its not the earphones

To pause with headset control "action button" it is a TWO count and same with unpause. To use voice "TellMe" it is a FOUR count. It does seem to be different from Focus to Focus S, but I am able to get repeatable results this way. I am using this method as I have to pause often durring my work day.

How do you adjust the vibration sensitivity on the Focus s?

The strength of vibration for my phone seems to have decreased in the last few days even when fully charged or plugged in. Also the keyboard no longer gives tactile feedback. How can I adjust these settings?

When I use speakerphone option callers complain about hearing a very bad echo. Echo cancellation does not help.

Please try to do a soft reset on the phone by powering it off and removing the battery then placing it back again after a few minutes to reboot the handset.

I've heard that when available, this upgrade will not be published by AT&T. Will it come from Samsung? Thanks.
