Thank you for your inquiry.
You have the Samsung Windows 7 phone and you were trying to stream and get a sound from YouTube to play with your Bluetooth headset. As I can see the Windows 7 phone has the Bluetooth Stereo Headset profile or the A2DP, also known as "Bluetooth Stereo Profile", allows stereo quality audio to be streamed from a media source to a connected device. Unlike the HSP, which does not allow for continuous audio streams, the A2DP allows reception of a streaming audio signal from the media source to Bluetooth stereo headsets. You cannot get it done with YouTube but with Slacker you can. It actually depends on the website or programs that you are trying to access. With the Slacker, since it is a Radio Station that Mobile phones supports, you can easily listen to it using a Bluetooth headset. And with YouTube, there could be certain limitations on their end why you can’t get a sound while using a Bluetooth headset. I am not 100% on this, but maybe they are blocking this kind of thing. Just to make sure you can check it with YouTube.

Question

Samsung Focus (SGH-i917) fails to pair with bluetooth

I have attempted to pair my phone with my notebook (Windows 7 Ultimate x64) several times. The phone and notebook each recognize the pairing keys, the phone shows up on the notebook (in devices) but immediately goes "gray". The notebook shows up on the phone as paired but then immediately reverts to "tap to pair'.

Greetings!
As I understand you are trying to pair your Samsung Focus Windows 7 device to your notebook and having issues with it. There are certain Bluetooth profiles that the phone must have to be able to pair with another device. Let me provide you with what are the Bluetooth profiles and it’s purposes that the Samsung Focus have and what could be the possible reason why it won’t connect with your notebook.
a. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile
A2DP, also known as "Bluetooth Stereo Profile", allows stereo quality audio to be streamed from a media source to a connected device. Unlike the HSP, which does not allow for continuous audio streams, the A2DP allows reception of a streaming audio signal from the media source to Bluetooth stereo headsets.
b. Audio/Video Remote Control Profile
AVRCP provides a standard interface to control TVs, hi-fi equipment, or other to allow a single remote control (or other device) to control all the A/V equipment that a user has access to. AVRCP allows for easy control of another device that also has the A2DP profile.
c. Hands-Free Profile
HFP allows a connection from the phone to a wireless Bluetooth-enabled car kit. Incoming calls ring to the hands-free headset or device. Calls can be received by pressing a button on the Bluetooth headset or device. As for dialing, four functions are supported: recent call dial, voice dial, speed dial, and number dial. You can increase or decrease the volume by using the volume key on the side of the phone.
d. Headset Profile
HSP is the most popular Bluetooth profile because it connects the phone to a wireless Bluetooth-enabled headset. When an incoming call is received, a tone can be heard through the headset, instead of the phone. The call can then be received by pushing a button on the Bluetooth headset. You can increase or decrease the volume by using the volume key on the side of the phone.
e. Phone Book Access Profile
PBAP Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) is a profile that allows exchange of Phone Book Objects between devices.
Basically the Samsung Focus has limited Bluetooth profiles and it does not have the profile that will allow it to pair with a PC or laptop. The Bluetooth profiles that we are looking for are File Transfer Profile, if you want to connect it to your notebook to transfer files and Serial Port Profile.
This information is also available on www.samsung.com/us, you can also check it there.
We do apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause you and I hope I was able to provide the accurate information that you are looking for.
For further details regarding this phone, we advise you to visit our website www.samsung.com to check for other specifications that you may enjoy with this phone or you can always send us your questions and we will be happy to check our resources and answer it.

The Bluetooth connecting process allows you to establish trusted connections between your device and another Bluetooth device. When you connect devices, they share a passkey, allowing for fast, secure connections while bypassing the discovery and authentication process.

To connect your device with another Bluetooth device:

1. From the Home screen, tap > Settings > system > Bluetooth.

2. Touch and drag the slider to the right to turn Bluetooth On. When you turn Bluetooth on, your device is discoverable and it immediately scans for Bluetooth devices.Your device displays a list of discovered, in-range Bluetooth devices.

3. Tap a device from the list to initiate connecting.

4. Enter the passkey or PIN code, if needed, and tap done.

5. The external device then has to also accept the connection and enter your device’s PIN code.

If it didn't work, please call the Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience through our toll free number 1-888-987-HELP (1-888-987-4357) for further assistance in troubleshooting and questions related to possible repair.

Do this: Settings > about > scroll to bottom, tap reset phone, yes, yes. Done. Do not follow instructions in the quick start, that is only if you can reflash the bios. Not user servicable. This is the PROPER way to do a factory reset. You must have it reflashed to change your SD card once it is formatted, removing it will brick the phone, but reinstalling it will make your phone work again as normal.

The picture on the picture tile is derived from the phone's camera roll. It uses the last picture taken.

Whether there is a way to affix a picture permanently to the tile, I have not found one yet, and with the device in a locked state, I do not believe you will be able to...yet.

For now you don't really.

There is a third party solution availible but I'm sure it would be against Samsung's TOS to talk about it much. A little googling should reveal it though.

MS is supposed to have a major upgrade in Jan that will feature that and many other things.
