The only unwanted apps that I ever wanted to remove are the At&t preloaded bloatware. Unfortunately the phone has to be rooted in order to do this. Rooting is not all bad but I would definitely read up on it as much as you can before doing this. It voids your warranty and you can damage your phone.

Hello and thanks for reaching out!

Here are some battery saving tips:

Turn off the automatic brightness and set it to the lowest setting. The display is the biggest power user.
Select only 2G if your not using 3G or 3.5G (network settings)
Turn off bluetooth and wifi when not in use
Turn off automatic background syncing
Don't use live wallpapers
Avoid widgets that use live updates
Make sure you close apps properly by going through the menu, hitting home doesnt close apps
You can try apps like startup auditor and autokiller to kill of running background applications.
If you really wanna go crazy use a solid black wallpaper, it wont use any LEDs at all
Some Task Managers seem to work against battery saving and consume more battery doing so ending tasks at regular intervals. Monitor these applications to see if they improve or decrease battery life.
Poor signal strength decreases battery life - Try not to leave you phone in a bag or place that might inhibit the signal strength. With low signal strength the device will consume a larger amount of power to maintain connection with the nearest cell tower or searching for another.

If you need additional assistance please contact us again. You can also reach out to us via twitter or facebook for quicker responses.

Question

hate my phone

I am running on Gingerbread.

For the past week, I've watched tutorials and read instructions on how to update my phone to the latest ice cream, jelly bean, whatever.
no luck.

my phone is three months old, runs slower than the first iPhone, requires me to reset bluetooth every time i enter car, etc. If I complained about all the issues with it, I'd be here all day.
I used Kies, but can't figure it out. How do I update this second-rate phone?

I can't back up to sms card or my computer, so I do not want to restart. And At and T will not refund my money

Why won't my Samsung Captivate charge?

It works on the both house and car charger but as soon as I take it off the charger it shows zero charge left and quickly shuts down. The leak came from a highly ranked member of Samsung on his personal Twitter saying that "GS2 users will be happy in January" and "the S2 will processing and graphics capabilities will be fully utilized after a huge announcement".

This is not verbatim but Im sure you can find news that says the same.
