How do I find out what the SIM PIN is on this phone?

Called ATT support & they had me try 0000 & a PUK# they had on file, but nothing worked. I'm now down to my last attempt before the phone is shut down.

When will the downloadable user manual be available in English?

Keep getting message "file is damaged and can't be repaired". Spanish version downloads fine - but we don't speak Spanish.

Kies via WiFi missing on Galaxy S II

On my Galaxy S2 I do not have the 'Kies via WiFi' option under the settings in Wireless and Network.

I know this option IS available in other versions of this phone, so why not in the AT&T version? Also, is there a way to enable the option. I really, really want to use the wireless sync options available in the Kies software.

I know there are some other wireless syncing alternatives out there like doubleTwist, but they are limited and not at all comprehensive. I do use Kies Air, but that has no syncing options, just manually uploading and downloading.

I just got the Samsung Galaxy S2 and everything was great for two hours and I also downloaded a couple of updates and then my speakerphone stopped working?? I heard that others have had the same issue. Can someone help???

What does "unsupported file type" mean in the music player when all of the files are the same?

I have been trying since i purchased my GS2 to put my music library on the phone. Kies is remarkably slow, but in addition more than half of the music that ends up on the phone does not play. It either says unsupported file type or that the media player does not support this type of audio file. The problem with this is that all of my music are the same type of files, either mp3 or m4a, and those are supported file types. I have tried using all of the 3rd party music syncing programs as well, including winamp and doubletwist, but to no avail. Please help

Have you tried playing them on your PC do they work there if so make sure you are not disconnecting the cable to soon once the music is synced with Kies

Question

What are the spec. parameters for a properly working MHL cable?

I can't afford the Samsung MHL cable. (I assumed that it came with the phone.) People have been reporting mixed results with MHL cables including Samsung cables. Such as Wifi being cut off when connecting the cable, or cell phone service being cut off when cable is connected. This is unacceptable as I like to stream video such as netflix. So, any guidance when shopping for a non-Samsung cable?

The S2 update is available now from AT&T. The 10.1 update is still scheduled for later this year.

Wi-Fi stopped working - Need Original Firmware Please

I was trying to unlock the SIM card and somehow after the process, the Wi-Fi is no longer working. I tried doing a full HARD RESET (factory reset) and that did not help either. Where can i get a copy of the Firmware for Gingerbread UCKK6 (android 2.3.6, kernel 2.6.35.7) to replace the full OS on this device? If not what are my options please

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

How do I add a Subject to an MMS message on a Galaxy S II (SGH-1777) Android verion 2.3.4

I purchased a Galaxy S II on 1/4/2012. Its model number is "SAMSUNG SGH-1777) & it runs Android version 2.3.4.

I have been going crazy trying to do what should be trivial, add a Subject to an MMS message.

I have Googled the WEB to death w/o success. It seems that most other Samsung phones work by automatically switching the message from SMS to MMS when you attach something like a picture, music file, etc. Once this is done, there is supposed to be an entry under MORE on the Messaging Menu to "Add Subject." I can't get my phone to show this menu entry and I have looked all over the settings for the Messaging App and didn't see any obvious way to turn this on.

The attached picture, music, sends fine but it arrives with "No Subject" where one should be.

So... How do I get the Galaxy to add subjects to MMS messages? My ancient 10 key Nokia 6085 could add a subject to an MMS message so I KNOW the Galaxy must be able to also.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
