Is there a fix for the connectivity issues with the skyrocket?
I have been having connectivity issues with data usage on my Skyrocket. The Androis forum and AT&T's website is full of similar issues with this phone. AT&T's costomer service isn't helping...some deny the issue while others admit to it and say, "take the phone back". Turning the phone off and on or removing the battery restores connectivity for a few minutes but then it stops again. Some say it is an AT&T APN issue, others are not sure, but the problem is the same for all. It works fine on WiFi, but not on the network. It is a serious problem. Can you tell me what is being done or if there is a fix for this yet? Or do I need to just take the phone back and get something with no issues?

Yes the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket supports one external micro SDHC memory card up to 32GB. The external memory card is actually one socket under the back cover. Extremely easy to install. I had to format my memory card before using it. I just let Windows 7 format the card on my laptop before installing it.
Memory cards are read/write speed rated from (1) to (10). A (10) is 10 times faster than a (1). This really helps speed up a digital camera read and write large jpg's but will probably not be as noticeable in this device.

How can you set default reminders for the calendar
The native android calendar allows you to set a default event reminder time so every new appointment comes through with an initial reminder. I can't find this in the calendar preferences with my GS2.

I have tried to load Kies and always get the message that it is missing PCI Serial Port and IPMI Interface drivers. I am running Windows 7 32bit OS. Have all the other required software up to date. Was told by a Samsung chat rep that Kies will not work with my phone (i727UCKJ2). This is very disappointing as it is one of the main reasons I didn't get an iphone which sync very easily.

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.
To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below: Pull out and up the memory card slot cover Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC From the standby screen, press OK for Menu Select Settings & Tools Select Tools Select USB Mass Storage From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings) Double click on the folder to view the contents Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC From the handset, press OK for Disconnect With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

Help with a contacts sync problem with outlook via exchange server
If I edit a contact on my phone, it changes the "file as" field to first name in outlook. I am using Outlook 2007 & am on exchange. I keep my contacts organized by last name in outlook. I've changed settings on phone to sort by "family name" & display contacts by "family name" but it hasn't corrected the problem. Please advise. Thank you.
