ICS features in Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE ICS update

Hi,

Why are most of the ICS features like the people app etc not made available in the ICS update for Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE (SGH-i727) for AT&T?
I feel like not much has changed with the ICS update for this phone, instead things have become bad like the camera app lags while taking video, i can send samples of video taken and every few frames are choppy & lag.
The overall experience with the ICS update is really bad

My phone appears to be downloading things while it reflects that all applications are closed. How can I make sure my phone is not using data?

I need to know how to make sure nothing is being downloaded and how to turn those things off, when it is.

Deleting email

I open and read my email and then I delete it but a few seconds later it reappears in my in-box. This is a new problem - I have had the phone since April and have deleted emails before without them coming back. What is going on?

What to do when only one side of the headset is working

I plugged in the headset to listen to music but only my left channel is working. Is there a balance on the phone that needs resetting or is the headphone malfunctioning?

Question

Is there any way to reduce the brightness of the LED flash?

The current setting of the LED flash it too bright. When i take a picture of people they are blinded for 5 minutes after the photo.

How do I disable the display lighting every time an email notification occurs?

First off, the upgrade to Ice Cream OS 4.04 the battery life is now ridiculously horrible. As I try to literally turn everything off that i think could consume battery life (which makes is less user friendly). I noticed looking through the batteyr life logs, the display usaage is high. Even when I don't even use the phone. Through some test I saw that the display lights up every time any of my email notifications trigger. My display is set at 15 sec. So if I get a lot of mail over 5 linked accounts the display is always coming on. This equals serious battery consumption. This is the worst OS upgrade ever. I should have stayed with original OS...it was reliable and didn't do these stupid things.

Thank you for your inquiry and we understand that your phone has a short battery life and you would like to turn off the led light for your email notifications. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Battery life durations specified on our products are tested in our labs under multiple different conditions and the talk and standby times are a realistic average maximum dependent on customer usage variables.

Battery power consumption depends on a number of factors, such as network configuration, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, frequency of calls, and voice, data, and other
application usage patterns. Some variables that may affect battery life are:

• Backlight settings set to always on or a long amount of time.
• Ring tone settings set to higher volume settings.
• Vibrate settings turned on.
• Using Internet Services including Text Messaging.
• Making and/or Receiving calls in, or simply standing by in, analog service area.
• If you tend to be in a "weak" coverage area where your signal strength meter shows only 1 to 2 bars.
• Using non-SAMSUNG charging accessories can cause battery life and other issues, as well as void the manufacturer’s limited warranty.

Please check the information listed below for the charging time for your phone.

Initial charging time: 6-8 hours
Regular Charging time:2-4 hours

You may also drop by at your service provider's corporate store to try using a different battery or charger to check if it would work.

You may configure the LED light notifications on the phone using the list of steps below.

1. From the homescreen, touch on Menu key.
2. Tap on Settings.
3. Touch on LED indicator, then uncheck missed events.

Why won't my samsung galaxy s2 data work?

It works with wifi, and my sisters Iphone can use her data just fine. I don't understand Why mine won't work, when I turn of wifi, it tells me that theres no internet connection.
