What business apps would you recomend for the Galaxy Note. Just got it and finding out all I can. Thanks the games will definetely not be a problem. I am starting a new business and I need as much info at my fingertips as possible.

There are quite a few good apps for business. Not sure what type of business you are in but here are a few that I use, 2X client to remote into other computers on my internal network. Box.net to transfer files to multiple devices via the internet. Astro file manager to view all files/ folders on my phone. Free Active Directory app that allows me to view and manage all users/computers in my companies Microsoft Active Directory. Keep Track Pro is great for creating/ maintaining on the go stats charts. QuickOffice to view/edit all MS Office files. SplashTop remote desktop to connect to any pc's that have the splashtop streamer installed via the internet. IMO which is an instant messaging client that can host all your IM accounts in on account like Yahoo, AIM, Facebook.

Question

Issue with White Note Battery Cover?

My White Galaxy Note has this creaking on the upper right hand of the back battery cover. The AT&T store gave me another cover, and I am having the same issue.

Is this a common problem? I noticed this does not happen on the Carbon Blue Notes.

Question

Phone says it is memory full but I still have 16GB left of 32

It seems my Galaxy Note won't install apps to my external SD card how do I get it to do this. It only installs to internal memory which apparently is full. I also noticed that even apps that say they install to SD card only install to internal SD memory how do I get things to my external card?

It means the RAM memory, otherwise it would say storage. A good app for transfering to SD card is App2sd on Google Play store.

Question

Voice Talk is not working on Wifi network but working on Mobile Data. How do I fix this?

When I try using Voice Talk (similar to S Voice; however, S Voice did not install on the Note after the update to 4.0) it doesn't work over the Wifi network, but, it works over the Mobile Data and works perfectly with this type of network; however, over the Wifi it says it cannot connect to the server and ask to check for the connection.

Likely your routers firewall will need a little tuning to resolve the issue, the ports that the software requires will need to be opened, or that would be a good place to start. You would need to know the ports and protocols the software requires, as well as the user manual for the router you utilize to perform the task.

Sorry you are having problems. Let's first try a soft reset. Remove battery > Wait 2 Mins > Replace battery > Reboot your device. If this isn't helping, I suggest trying resetting your wifi router or trying other networks to make certain it isn't an issue with the particular network you mentioned. If you are referring to a 3rd party Voice-to-talk application, the best person to reach out to for detailed troubleshooting would be the app developer.

Try a new USB cable, be sure to install Samsung Kies, be sure to check your usb settings on the phone, and possibly check permissions settings on your computer.

Sounds like you need to do a Factory Reset on your phone. Turn your phone off. Hold down the both volume buttons and then hold the power button. Once you get to the bootloader screen, use the volume buttons to scroll down to reset the phone, use the power button to select the option. Once you run through that, it should be fixed. Make sure you back up everything you want before doing this since it will erase everything on your phone.

Hi!

You may be able to reach out to a service support center in your area that will be able to reflash your device to a previous update. I do, however, suggest trying a few troubleshooting tips first. Make certain you are clearing your cache, data and exiting running applications as often as possible. You can also try a hard reset. You will find this option under your privacy settings. Just make certain you backup any data you don't want to lose using Kies prior to resetting.

all phones have a 1 year standard warranty just call samsung and provide your serial number IMEI or MEID and they can tell you if you're still on the 1 year coverage since you purchased your phone.

Since my ICS upgrade, I'm getting regular 'connection error' messages, especially on MSN/Hotmail accounts. What caused this (seems a common error with the base email app), and how can it be fully corrected? If necessary, can I replace the standard Samsung email app with another app?

Did you factory data reset after your update? Did you wipe the cache partition? These are two steps that should always be performed after any OS change, official or otherwise. With the phone powered off depress volume up, volume down, and power buttons. Hold until you see Samsung "splash" on the screen, then let go. You should be in android recovery mode. Use volume down to highlight 'wipe data/factory reset' use power key to select it. Do the same thing on the following screen to highlight and select 'yes'. You will then be at the android recovery screen again. Use volume down to highlight 'wipe cache partition' and press power to select. Then you can 'reboot system now'. This should help with software issues after the update.

How can I get help connecting my Note to my computer?

the usb debugging mode should have a checkmark then connect it to your pc using the genuine usb cable. make sure the cable is not moved once it's connected, meaning to say make sure the devices are placed on a table.

Currently there is no official word on the official JB update for the note. It may be coming through kies or OTA, but since the note just got ICS recently, do not expect an official update 'till fourth quarter.

try powercycling the phone and also softreset by taking out the battery for 5 seconds then put it back in. if issue still persists go back to where you bought the phone and have it replaced. =)

Back up any data that you have accumulated using Kies then try in order of escalation:

1) Clear cache and data for the camera app
2) Reformat your SD card or Replace it.
3) Master Reset the device.
4) Consider Device Replacement.

Charging time depends on the current battery percentage when your Note is plugged into the charger. At 40% mine takes a few hours to fully charge. The battery in the Note is larger than most and the plug-in charger supplies the standard amount of current. This phone should take longer to charge than your previous phone.

Battery life durations specified on our products are tested in our labs under multiple different conditions and the talk and standby times are a realistic average maximum dependent on customer usage variables.
Battery power consumption depends on a number of factors, such as network configuration, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, frequency of calls, and voice, data, and other application usage patterns.
Some variables that may affect battery life are:
• Backlight settings set to always on or a long amount of time
• Ring tone settings set to higher volume settings
• Vibrate settings turned on
• Using Internet Services including Text Messaging
• Making and/or Receiving calls in, or simply standing by in, an analog service area
• If you tend to be in a "weak" coverage area where your signal strength meter shows only 1 to 2 bars
• Using non-SAMSUNG charging accessories can cause battery life and other issues, as well as void the manufacturer’s limited warranty.

If the battery is not holding a charge it may mean that it is not charging properly. Make certain that the charger cable is properly plugged in. It is also possible that the battery may be damaged. Look in settings for the stylus, there is an option to sense the S-Pen when hovering over the screen, not sure if that is your issue, but do take a look.
