Plug your telephone cable directly into the USB port on your computer. After unlocking your phone, you will receive some wierd notice about Blue Tooth (just ignore it) then a prompt that asks you to select USB mode. Select Mass Storage. Now your phone will show up like a storage device on your computer. On my computer it is a Removable H Drive (yours might be a G Drive, etc). Open the Removable H Drive folder and drag and drop the pictures into a folder residing on your computer. You can move pictures, sounds, music, etc. back and forth between your phone and your computer.
If your phone is locked, first unlock it. There should be 3 "tabs" on the botton: DIAL, CONTACTS, & MENU. Press the DIAL tab to bring up the number pad. This is for the Samsung Flight II phone.
unlock the system by pressing/holding the "lock" button on the side. you should get the following options:
speaker mute - (video share) dial - hold - more
Touch the word "dial" on the lower left corner of the touch screen. it will open up the number keypad on the touch screen.

Try turning off "Messaging Lock" in the "Lock Applications" menu. My daughter had the same problem with two different phones and it turned out to be a problem with "Messaging Lock".
I'm not sure how it got turned on, but I'd really like to type texts using just the regular abc function. Any advice?
