SInce the your phone is asking for the PUK code, let me give you an information regarding what PUK code means & when would be the time does the phone asks for this.
What is a PUK code?
PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Code. This acts as a security feature on your mobile. To protect you in the event of theft, the SIM card is immediately locked if someone keys in three different incorrect PIN codes in succession. This also applies if you absent-mindedly enter an incorrect PIN code three times in a row. The message "PIN locked" will appear on the screen. In this event, you can fall back on the PUK code, which comprises eight digits.
And to get your PUK code, you may need to contact AT&T regarding it.

The SGH-A897 (Mythic) handset features four different methods to transfer pictures from the phone to a PC. Each are explained, in depth, further down the page.

- Via New Samsung PC Studio
- Via Windows Explorer
- Via Memory Card
- Via Bluetooth

1. Via the New Samsung PC Studio

Note: The SGH-A897 (Mythic) phone includes support for Digital Rights Management (DRM) which allows you to play or view some purchased or subscription content. These copyright protections may prevent some images, videos, music (including ringtones) and other content from being copied, modified, transferred or forwarded.

WARNING: DO NOT DISCONNECT USB CABLE DURING THE FILE TRANSFER

To transfer Picture/Video files, using the New Samsung PC Studio & a USB cable, to or from a PC follow the steps below:

From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either PC Studio

To configure the handset's USB setting follow the steps below:

From the standby screen, press Menu
Press Settings
Press Connectivity
Press Select USB Mode
Press Samsung PC Studio
Press Save to keep the USB Mode setting

Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon on the top of the display

If prompted, Select the PC Studio USB setting
The New Samsung PC Studio program will automatically appear on the PC
Click on the SGH-A897 icon, located in the top right corner, to open a box showing the handset's internal memory
Double click on the Pictures or Videos folder (Internal Memory)
Click on the My Computer icon, located in the upper left corner, to open a box showing the PC's internal memory
Navigate to the PC's picture or video location or destination
Drag and Drop or Copy (or Cut) and Paste the pictures or videos between the My Computer box and the SGH-A897 box or vice versa

2. Via Windows Explorer (Mass Storage

WARNING: DO NOT DISCONNECT USB DATA CABLE DURING THE FILE TRANSFER

Important: In order to transfer pictures (via Windows Explorer & a USB cable) to a PC the pictures MUST be located on a formatted microSD Memory Card. The microSD memory card must first be formatted, by the phone, in order for the handset to create the destination folders.

Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card. However, for optimal performance Samsung recommends using a card no larger than 2GB.

To transfer Picture/Video files, using Windows Explorer & a USB cable, between the phone and a PC follow the steps below:

From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either Mass Storage or Ask on Connection

To configure the handset's USB setting follow the steps below:

From the standby screen, press Menu
Press Settings
Press Connectivity
Press Select USB Mode
Press Mass Storage
Press Save to keep the USB Mode setting

Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon on the top of the display

If prompted, Select the Mass Storage USB setting
If prompted, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" on the new Removable Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually

Navigate to the picture/video file location on the memory card or PC
Drag n Drop or copy & paste the picture/video file into the desired destination on the PC or the Pictures or Videos folders on the handset

3. Via Memory Card

To transfer pictures (via a memory card) to a PC requires a microSD Memory Card, Memory Card Adaptor & Memory Card Reader. The microSD memory card MUST first be formatted, by the phone, in order for the phone to create the destination folders. Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB.

Note: This phone will support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card. However, for optimal performance Samsung recommends using a card no larger than 2GB.

WARNING: Formatting the microSD Memory Card will permanently erase all data

To transfer pictures (via a memory card), from the SGH-A897 (Mythic) phone, to a PC follow the steps below:

Insert the formatted microSD memory card into the memory card slot, located under the battery cover

When correctly inserted, the memory card icon is displayed
From the standby screen, press Menu
Using your finger press and hold swiping left or right to access Main Menu 3
Press My Stuff
Press Pictures or Videos to view the contents
Press Manage
Press either Move or Copy
Press each image to check their box or press All to check All boxes
Press either Move or Copy
Press Memory Card
Press either Pictures or Videos
Press Paste Here to Move or Copy the Photo(s)/Video(s) to the microSD memory card
Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card slot
Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor
Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader
Insert the memory card reader into the USB slot on the PC
Navigate to the desired Photo/Video destination location, using Windows Explorer, then paste the Photo(s)/Video(s) into the destination on the PC

4. Via Bluetooth

Note: Both Bluetooth devices MUST support Bluetooth FTP (File Transfer Profile)

To transfer (via a Bluetooth adaptor) Photo/Video files, from the Samsung SGH-A897 (Mythic) phone, to a PC follow the steps below:

On the Samsung SGH-A897 (Mythic) phone

From the standby screen, press Menu
Press and hold finger on screen sliding right or left for Main Menu 3
Press Settings
Press Connectivity
Press Bluetooth
Press the Bluetooth icon below to enable or disable Bluetooth
On the PC

Connect the Bluetooth adaptor to the PC’s USB port
Search for Bluetooth devices
Select the device to pair with the PC
Exchange PIN code(s) on both the PC & phone to pair devices (default pass code is “0000”)
Using My Bluetooth Places, select File Transfer to view the phone’s contents
Copy the desired Photo/Video file
Paste the file in a PC destination

Press on Save to keep the Message Alert Type setting
Press on Message Alert Tone (Message Tone 1)
Press on the desired Message Alert Tone then press on Save or press on Tones, press on the desired Tone then press on Add
Press on the Message Alert Repetition drop down arrow
Press on either Once or Periodic
Set the Alert Tone Volume setting
Scroll down then press on Vibration Pattern (Vibration 1)

Since the media files saved on your SD card is not being recognized by your Samsung Mythic, it would be best to format your SD card using the phone. However, before you’ll perform format on the SD card, make sure to back up your files on the computer. And once SD card has been formatted using the phone, you can transfer media files from computer to phone via Mass Storage method. If you wish to continue, you may follow the steps below.

Note: If the Bluetooth feature is currently active on the phone, USB communication between devices will not be available. To transfer files to or from the phone, turn off the Bluetooth functionality.

u should be cautioned that there are no drivers (at least after days of searching) compatible w/ windows 7

You can go to your service provider so they can check on the phone and they can try using a different battery and charger on the phone to isolate the issue.

You can also call our Customer Care so we can do minimal troubleshooting to your phone. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

If the phone has experienced damage or is out of warranty by date (it was purchased more than one year ago) the standard charge will likely apply for the repairs to your phone. Charges start at $65.00 and can increase, depending upon the nature and severity of the issue. We are only able to arrange payment for these repairs through credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

If you go to android market and download Mr. Number it has a feature that blocks calls and text from unwanted people. I've used it on all my android phones it works great!
