Question

Is there a way to access words that I've added to the T9 dictionary? I'd like to delete a few?

There are several 'words' that have been added to my T9 word bank that I need to delete. Where can I find this list? My old phone had a menu option that said "My Words" that I could edit, but I can't seem to find one here. "My Word" list has gotten out of control with things that I DIDN'T add and it makes T9 texting annoying! Help?

Thank you for taking the time to inform us of the issue concerning your Samsung product.

“No Event” message on the Samsung Solstice™ Full Qwerty Cell Phone (SGH-A887) means that you did not receive any messages or calls for a period of time. It appears occasionally after you reboot the device.

You just have to simply tap the Widget bar tab located on the left side of the main display to open the widget (quick access) bar; then touch and hold the "No event" and in a single motion, drag it inside the widget bar. Tap the Widget bar tab again to close the widget bar.

Question

Samsung Solstice: Phone rings, I answer it, but nobody there; caller has been transferred to voicemail.

I had a "regular" type AT&T cell phone. I removed the SIMS card and put it into my son's used Samsung Solstice. Everything worked fine for a month. Now every time somebody calls me, I hear it ring, I answer the call, and there is nobody there. The caller has been transferred to voicemail. I searched all the Settings, etc., but I was unable to find anything that would remedy this problem.

Thank you for your inquiry. You may try doing the soft reset on the phone by taking out the battery for at least 10-15 seconds and then put the battery back in and evaluate it. Please make sure that the phone is fully charged before using it. Battery life durations specified on our products are tested in our labs under multiple different conditions and the talk and standby times are a realistic average maximum dependent on customer usage variables. Some variables that may affect battery life are:

-Backlight settings set to always on, or a long amount of time
-Ring tone settings set to higher volume settings
-Vibrate settings turned on
-Using Internet Services including Text Messaging
-Making and/or Receiving calls in, or simply standing by in an analog service area
-If you tend to be in a "weak" coverage area where your signal strength meter shows only 1 to 2 bars
-Using non-Samsung charging accessories can cause battery life and other issues, as well as void the manufacture's limited warranty.

This phone doesn't support flash games that requires a high version of flash player that should be on the phone. You may ask your service provider if they have an application that will let you play this kind of game on your handset. The phone stores the numbers of the calls you’ve dialed, received, or missed in the Calls menu. You can access this menu by from the Idle screen by doing one of the following:

1. You can briefly press the Call button or Touch Menu -> Tools -> Recent Calls.
2. Touch the drop-down list located at the top right of the screen to select from All, Missed, Made, or Received.

Choose "Missed" to view missed calls.

Viewing Missed Calls
The number of calls you have missed is displayed on the Idle screen.

1. Touch the onscreen Missed Calls dialog. The most recently missed calls are displayed.
2. Scroll through the list of missed calls.
3. To move to another call type, touch the call drop-down list (upper right of Calls page) and make your selection.

Hi there!

There are no configurable options to change the screen saver as it is a default on the phone. However, you can change the display wall paper.

To change the Display Wallpaper follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, press Menu
2. Press Settings
3. Press Display and Light
4. Press Wallpaper
5. Press Pictures
6. Press the desired Picture to view it
7. Press Set to save the image as the Display Wallpaper

Tip: Press the plus sign (+) to enlarge the picture and press to Rotate it too.
