Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

Why am I getting a text message error saying sending failed recipient barred?

I'm trying to send a picture message. It will send a sms message to the number but not a mms message. I've sent mms messages to this number before with no problem

How can i fix this....

We have just had daylight savings and the time has been updated but when a txt message comes through it will have the time & date for 13 hours ahead of the time at present fo instance if its 12.13pm 28th sept 2011 the text will say it is 1.13am 29th sept 2011 why is this help please...............

How do I import my phonebook from my phone to my PC if the screen on my phone does NOT work?

I have a USB connector to my phone but since the screen will not come on I have no way to see what to touch to allow the computer to communicate with my phone. Is there a way to retrieve my phonebook from the phone without the use of the screen?

Hi there!
I’m sorry for the inconvenience that this might have caused to you. As I have checked here with my resources, since the screen is broken there are no configurable options for us to navigate on the screen and there combination keys for us to access the phone menu.
If you have a memory card and if your media fiels are saved on your memory card, you can still retrieve those information by inserting it to sd card reader and connect it to your pc.

Also with regards to the screen that is broken, you have an option to send it in to our service center for repair.

Regarding about your concern, we cannot assist in unlocking the phone for use on another network. We hold a proprietary licensing agreement with your Service Provider (AT&T) and it would be in violation of this agreement to assist in unlocking the phone.

Your Service Provider has these codes and should be able to provide support for this.

Please Note: Unlocking of the phone, although at the discretion of the service provider is possible, will void all Samsung warranties for support or service. Features that are available on the intended network may not be accessible on the alternate network. Features on the alternate network may not be available this phone as these features are not those of the network on which the phone was intended to be used, and therefore, are not programmed.

As for Internet functions and MMS messages, please contact your service provider as these are network dependent feature on your device.

How do I change the font color on the receipt of a text message? It is currently blue and very hard to see outside.

Regarding your concern, while viewing an incoming text message you may press the Volume Up key for you to increase or enlarge the font size of the text. This will only applicable for viewing and creating a text message.

Question

I own a Samsung SGH-A877. The screen doesn't work anymore when I slide it open - it DOES when I keep it closed.

When it's dark, I vaguely see text on the screen when open, but not as bright as it used to be. I can still type with the slide open, I just don't see what I'm typing and text shows again brightly once I close the slide. How do I fix this?

how do i get my buttons to work again?

My buttons are not responding to touch. At first just would activate wrong one now will not activate at all.

Use this feature only when the device does not respond properly when you touch the screen. There is no need to tap on the display with any type of extra force.
