The SGH-A877 (Impression) handset features four different methods to transfer pictures from the phone to a PC. The steps for each are detailed below:

These copyright protections may prevent some images, videos, music (including ringtones) and other content from being copied, modified, transferred or forwarded.
>Via the New Samsung PC Studio
Important! The Bluetooth feature must first be disabled before initiating a USB connection with the handset. Prior to connecting the USB cable to the handset, install the latest version of the Samsung PC Studio application. This application installs the necessary USB drivers onto your PC. WARNING: DO NOT DISCONNECT USB CABLE DURING THE FILE TRANSFER
To transfer Picture/Video files, using the New Samsung PC Studio & a USB cable, to or from a PC follow the steps below:
1. From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either PC Studio or Ask on Connection
• From the standby screen, press Menu
• Press Settings
• Press Connectivity
• Press Select USB Mode
• Press the desired USB Setting to Samsung PC Studio
• Press Save to keep the USB Mode setting
2. Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon on the top of the display
3. If prompted, Select the PC Studio USB setting
4. The New Samsung PC Studio program will automatically appear on the PC
5. Click on the SGH-A877 icon , located in the top right corner, to open a box showing the handset's internal memory
6. Double click on the Pictures or Videos folder (Internal Memory)
7. Click on the My Computer icon , located in the upper left corner, to open a box showing the PC's internal memory
8. Navigate to the PC's picture or video location or destination
9. Drag and Drop or Copy (or Cut) and Paste the pictures or videos between the My Computer box and the SGH-A877 box or vice versa
>Via Windows Explorer (Mass Storage using USB Cable)
Note: If the Bluetooth feature is currently active on the phone, USB communication between devices will not be available. To transfer files to or from the phone, turn off the Bluetooth functionality.
Important: In order to transfer pictures (via Windows Explorer & a USB cable) to a PC the pictures MUST be located on a formatted microSD Memory Card. The microSD memory card must first be formatted, by the phone, in order for the handset to create the destination folders.
STEPS HOW TO FORMAT SD CARD ON THE HANDSET:
• Insert a microSD memory card into the memory card slot, located on the right side under the battery cover
• From the standby screen, press Menu
• Press Settings
• Scroll down then press Memory Management
• Press Memory Card Details
• Press Format
• Press Yes to confirm formatting the microSD Memory Card
Caution! Do not repeatedly format a Memory Card as this shortens it's service life
Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card. However, for optimal performance Samsung recommends using a card no larger than 2GB.

The microSD memory card MUST first be formatted, by the phone, in order for the phone to create the destination folders. Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB.

2. When correctly inserted, the memory card icon is displayed
3. From the standby screen, press Menu
4. Press My Stuff
5. Press Pictures or Videos to view the contents
6. Press Manage
7. Press either Move or Copy
8. Press each image to check their box or press All to check All boxes
9. Press either Move or Copy
10. Press Memory Card
11. Press Paste Here to Move or Copy the Photo(s)/Video(s) to the microSD memory card
12. Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card slot
13. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor
14. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader
15. Insert the memory card reader into the USB slot on the PC
16. Navigate to the desired Photo/Video destination location, using Windows Explorer, then paste the Photo(s)/Video(s) into the destination on the PC
Via Bluetooth
Note: Both Bluetooth devices MUST support Bluetooth FTP (File Transfer Profile)
To transfer (via a Bluetooth adaptor) Photo/Video files, from the Samsung SGH-A877 (Impression) phone, to a PC follow the steps below:
On the Samsung SGH-A877 (Impression) phone
1. From the standby screen, turn Bluetooth On
2. Change the phone’s Bluetooth visibility to On
To learn how to Turn On Bluetooth
• From the standby screen, press Menu
• Press Settings
• Press Connectivity
• Press Bluetooth
• Press the Bluetooth icon below to enable or disable Bluetooth
Note: When enabled, the handset will show the Bluetooth icon at the top of the display
Tip: The Bluetooth feature must first be disabled before initiating a USB connection with the handset
For Bluetooth Visibility instructions
• From the standby screen, press on Menu
• Press on Settings
• Press on Connectivity
• Press on Bluetooth
• Press on Visible
• Press on Yes to change the Bluetooth Visibility setting
Caution: When the Bluetooth Visibility is turned on, the handset is wirelessly transmitting its phone name and status to every Bluetooth device within range. This transmission can pose a security risk and incite unauthorized connection to the handset. Therefore, it is recommended that Bluetooth Visibility remain hidden until necessary. If the handset is not visible, you can still detect and connect to other Bluetooth devices, while still hiding yourself from others.
On the PC
1. Connect the Bluetooth adaptor to the PC’s USB port
2. Search for Bluetooth devices
3. Select the device to pair with the PC
4. Exchange PIN code(s) on both the PC & phone to pair devices (default pass code is “0000”)
5. Using My Bluetooth Places, select File Transfer to view the phone’s contents
6. Copy the desired Photo/Video file
7. Paste the file in a PC destination
