Hi there!

Regarding about your concern, the memory allotted for videos is limited to available memory. However, you may change the camera/camcorder memory settings to memory card that will allow you to capture videos until the memory card space available is full.

To change the camera/camcorder memory settings:
1. In Idle mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Applications Settings and press the Select soft key or the AT&T logo key.
2. Select the type of application to change and press the Select soft key or the AT&T logo key.
3. Choose Camera Settings.
4. Look for Memory In use, and then change it to memory card.

Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. Although the maximum size supported is a 16GB microSDHC memory card, for optimal performance Samsung recommends a memory card no larger than 2GB.

If the microSD memory card came from another phone and you could not saved any files on it. Try to format the microSD memory card using your phone so that the phone will recognize the microSD memory card inserted in it.

To format a microSD memory card follow the steps below:
1. Insert a microSD memory card into the memory card slot, located under the phone battery.
2. Click here for instructions on inserting or removing a memory card.
3. From the standby screen, press the right soft key for Menu.
4. Select My Stuff.
5. Highlight the On Card tab, using the left or right navigation keys.
6. Highlight Audio, Pictures, or Videos, using the navigation keys.
7. Press the left soft key for Options.
8. Select More.
9. Select Memory Card Settings.
10. Select Format.
11. Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm formatting the microSD Memory Card.

Warning: Formatting the microSD memory card will permanently delete all the files saved on it and there is no option to retrieve it.

The SGH-A847 have a SIM Access Profile that will allow you to sync the contacts on the SIMcard to the carkit.

Make sure that your carkit also supports the SIM Access Profile so that it will automatically sync the contacts on the SIM card to the carkit.

Question

Samsung Rugby II cell phone. Address Book. How to enter a +1 formatted number from keyboard.

I want to enter my phone numbers in the contacts as a number that can be dialed from anywhere. A +1 number generally fulfills this need. You seem to have (parochally) disabled the ability to enter a +1 number form the keyboard when editing a contact. Is there a way around this?

Example- I want to call home from Brazil while on travel- 1-512-xxx-xxxxx does not work. From Thailand? doesn't work. .....but +1-512-xxx-xxxxx does, but you've disabled that edit feature on the AT&T phone.

The problem is like saying "reply to x1234" when placing a want ad in the NY Times.

Thank you for your inquiry, As i have checked with my resources there is no configurable option to disable PTT fuction in your phone. You can call your service provider to disable your internet service since this is a service dependent feature of the phone. I don't know if the multimedia feature is also part of the plan or package you are paying for but the best way to handle this is to talk to your service provider maybe they can remove the PTT or internet without affecting the multimedia service.

Click on a method listed below to go directly to that Picture transfer method instructions.

SGH-a847 (Rugby II) Picture Transfer Methods

Via New PC Studio
Via Windows Explorer

Via Bluetooth

Please Note: The SGH-a847 (Rugby II) phone includes support for Digital Rights Management (DRM) which allows you to play or view some purchased or subscription content. These copyright protections may prevent some images, videos, music (including ringtones) and other content from being played, copied, modified, transferred or forwarded.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Via New PC Studio

Note:! Should you close the Easy Wizard window, it may be accessed again by a single right click on the phone in New PC Studio and selecting Run Wizard.
