Greetings!
Pertaining to your query, the # key is a space key for the phone, below are the steps on how to enter a text message on the phone, please follow the steps for easy reference:
To use the ABC Alphabetic input method use the number 2 button to number 9 keys to enter your text.
1. Press the key labeled with the letter you want:
• Once for the first letter
• Twice for the second letter, and so on
2. Select the other letters in the same way.
Note: The cursor moves to the right when you press a different key. When entering the same letter twice or a different letter on the same key, just wait for a few seconds for the cursor to move to the right automatically, and then select the next letter.
The Symbol input method enables you to insert symbols and punctuation marks into text.
1. To enter symbol mode press and hold the key.
2. Use the Navigation keys to select an on screen symbol group.

4. To clear the symbol(s), press the key. When the input field is empty, this key returns the display to the previous mode.
5. To return to your message, press the OK soft key

Here's how you can enable the speakerphone feature of the SGH-A847.

While on an incoming or outgoing call, the Speakerphone key, located on the right side of the phone, functions as the Speakerphone button. Press it to enable the Speakerphone. You will see the Speakerphone icon on the SGH-a847 (Rugby II) phone main display to signify the Speakerphone option is enabled. Use the volume keys (located on the left side of the phone) to adjust the Speakerphone volume. Repeat the same steps again to disable the Speakerphone, for privacy.

Warning: Due to higher volume levels, do not place the phone near your ear when using the speakerphone feature.

The PTT service of your phone depends on the connection to your service provider. If you want to enable/disable that service you need to contact them for them to do it to their system. This is originally a paid service from them.
