1. Power off
2. Remove the battery and leave it out for at least 30 seconds
3. Insert battery back into device
4. Power back on and evaluate

PIN OR RESET

I BOUGHT THIS PHONE USED ON EBAY, TO LAST ME TIL IT WAS TIME TO GET A NEW PHONE SINCE MY FAIRLY NEW, EXPENSIVE SAMSUNG CAPTIVATE POOPED OUT ON ME- THE CHARGE PORT JUST QUIT TAKING A CHARGE AND I REALLY COULD NOT AFFORD TO HAVE IT ALL REPLACED. ANYHOW, WHEN I BOUGHT THIS PHONE I WAS UNAWARE IT WAS PASSWORD LOCKED. THE PEOPLE THAT SOLD IT SAID THEIR CHILD USED IT LONG AGO AND NOW DO NOT REMEMBER THE PASSCODE/PIN. SINCE I AM NOT INTERESTED IN USING ANY OF THE DATA STORED IN THE PHONE IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO A HARD RESET WITHOUT THE PIN? I KNOW SOME OTHER SAMSUNG PHONES YOU CAN JUST PRESS A SERIES OF SOFT KEYS ON THE BODY OF THE PHONE. IS THIS POSSIBLE? THANKS.

Please try to use default passcodes 0000 or 00000000.

PIN lock is the actual lock code saved on the sim card inserted in your phone, not on the phone.

Question

my phone will not show outbox messages at all in text.

ive reset the phone multiple times, taken the battery out and sim, waited up to 5 minutes, restarted and still the same.... shows zero for sent...

I have a 2012 fiat 500 that has blue&me. My SGH-A817 wil not connect to it. Is there a software upgrade I can do to fix this?
