how i can reset a password on my cellphone SGH-A797?

i buy this phone on a pawnchop all i need is reset a password for use with AT&T.send me all the information to my e-mail adress thanks.the last owner use a password and he forget to give to the manager of the pawchop .

Thank you for your inquiry. You may remove a blocked number from you recent call list using the listed steps below.

To delete entries from the Reject List please follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, press Menu.
2. Press Settings
3. Press Calls
4. Press General
5. Press Auto Reject
6. Press the trashcan to the right of the number to delete it.
7. Press Save to keep the Auto Reject settings.

Drivers disc.

Why would you send a disc with the phone that does NOT have the required software or drivers loaded on it? Why send the disc if you have to download everything from your website?

Thank you for your inquiry. There's no direct way/process for you to upload photos from the phone to your Facebook account. What I can suggest would be transferring first those photos from the phone to computer and from that, you can upload those photos to your Facebook account. Thank you for your inquiry. You may try doing the soft reset on the phone by taking out the battery for at least 10-15 seconds and then put the battery back in and evaluate it. Please also check if the sim card on your handset is properly inserted onto the phone. Regarding your concern, the pin code is lock on the sim card inserted in your and not a lock on the actual phone. If you entered entered pin code 3-10 times incorrectly it might block your sim card. You need to contact your service provider to get unlocking code for your sim card.

While in standby mode, press on Menu
Select Settings
Select Sound Profile
Press on one of the following audio Sound Profiles:
Normal
Driving
Outdoor
From the Phone screen (Use the drop down arrow in the top right corner):
Press on the Keypad Tone drop down arrow then press on either Beep, Glossy or Mute
Set the Phone Sound Volume, using the horizontal bar
Press on Save to keep the Normal, Driving or Outdoor Sound Profile settings

Can you help me fix my text messages?

I have a Samsung Flight. I keep getting an error message that my messaging is full. Some of my text messages have a blue box by the envelope and it seems that when I delete those (blue box) messages the error message goes away. Is there a way I can get my text messages to not have that blue box? I read somewhere that these are the messages saved to my Sim card...can I get that to stop? I need help please this is insanely annoying.

Thank you for your correspondence. There is no option to delete the messages that saves on the SIM card. It is a default on the Samsung's handset that first 30 messages will save on the SIM card and the succeeding messages will goes on the phone's memory. It is possible that the messages with a blue box have a very large file and attachment which is why you keep getting message is full. You can also try to performing a soft reset on the phone by taking out the battery for at least 10-15 seconds and then put the battery back in and evaluate it. If it's still not working and still doing the same thing, you may call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot this issue in a more timely manner than we could through this forum.

What do I do if the touchscreen on the Samsung Flight doesn't respond?

I can't get to the menu or tools to recalibrate the touchscreen. When I push the call button and the recent calls comes up and then I touch the screen anywhere it selects like I am touching the second call from the top. I can push anywhere on the screen and it does this. So it is registering that I am touching the screen, but it responds in only one area no matter where I touch it. What can I do??

Try to do a soft reset on the phone, by taking off the battery together with the SIM for a few seconds and putting it back. Turn the phone on to reload the system. Regarding your concern, upon checking the specifications and settings on the Samsung Flight™ Full Qwerty Cell Phone (SGH-A797), there is no configurable option to lock the phone when it is power on.

However, you can use Application Lock that will restrict access to all phone application menus, except the My Menu shortcuts. Once you have locked the applications, you must enter the correct lock code to access the associated menus.

To enable or disable the Application Lock setting, please follow the steps below:
1. From the standby screen, press Menu.
2. Press Settings.
3. Press Phone.
4. Press Security.
5. Press Lock Applications.
6. Press any of the following Applications to check each of the desired boxes:
(All, Messaging, My Stuff, Recent Calls, Address Book, Calendar, Memo, IM, Tasks)
7. Press Save to keep the Application Lock settings.
8. Enter the Application Lock password then press OK.
9. If prompted, confirm the Application Lock password then press OK.
