Question

Roaming doesn't work, is phone defective?

I purchased a SGH-A707 Sync, slightly used, excellent condition, I loose all service in some areas, it doesnt seem to roam, I called AT & T and they said even in an area they don't cover I should have service from their partner cell towers. Is the phone defective or is the roaming turned off.

This a service provider issue so it is highly likely that you're roaming is turned off.

What do I do when it says, "Phone Freeze. SIM Unavailable?"

I am in Malawi right now, and I put a Malawian SIM card in my phone, and then this came up. I later tried to put my old SIM card in, but it still wouldn't let me use it. Also, when I try to do a SOS call, it won't let me because it tells me it isn't allowed. What do I do?

Hi! Thanks for your question. I suggest performing a soft reset. To perform a soft reset, please power off the device and pull/replace the battery after 2-3 minutes before powering back on.

Question

How to get information/media off of phone?

I have an old Samsung a707 that I dropped on the ground and it stopped working. If I pushed the battery real hard in the phone, it'd turn back on until I released pressure. Now, it won't even do that. I just want to get all of my old pictures off of it, how can I do that?

how do you remove a number from the reject list?

Number added to reject list by choosing number in call list and then choosing options and choosing add to reject list. Even when rejecting the calls from that number, the add to reject option is still listed with no option to remove it.

To remove a number to the reject list, follow the below steps
Press the Home Key
Press the Menu Key
Tap on Settings
Tap on Call Settings
Tap on All calls
Tap on Auto reject
Tap on Enable Auto reject if (Auto reject must be enabled to modify listing

You need the Mulit-Media Message (MMS) settings configured on your phone for you to successfully send and receive picture messages.

You may contact your service provider to assist you on setting up the MMS feature so you can enjoy picture messaging using your Samsung phone.

If you are to assign a downloaded ringtone to a specific contact, it is possible. However there is a certain limitation on doing it. In order for you to set a downloaded ringtone to a contact, the file format should not be over 300kb. If the size is more than 300kb, then it will not work.

To assign downloaded ringtone to a contact please follow the steps below:
-from menu
-tap on applications
-tap on contacts
-tap on a desired contact
-tap on menu
-tap on edit
-tap on ringtone
-tap on sound
-locate for the ringtone that you want to assign (dowloaded ringtone can be saved on the phone memory or memory card)
-tap on the ringtone
-save
