What you CAN do is sync your cell phone numbers with your Outlook or Outlook Express address book. As long as you have a name and phone number the sync will create an entry in your Contacts (Outlook) or Address Book (Outlook Express).

I don't know if it knows how to sync to non-Microsoft organizers, however.

Just do PC Sync, and select the Phonebook <==> Outlook Contacts option. Also, check the Settings under the Sync menu.

Hi aunteelala!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding your concern, we suggest saving the music files to your computer and then transfer them to the SGH-A707 handset.

If you are going to transfer ringtones from your computer to the phone, it would require you to have a microSD memory card and a memory card reader on your computer.

If the microSD memory card came from another phone and you could not saved any files on it. Try to format the microSD memory card using your phone so that the phone will recognize the microSD memory card inserted in it.

To format a memory card follow the steps below:
1. While in standby mode, insert the memory card into the memory card slot, located on the right side of the handset.
2. Press the left soft key for Menu.
3. Select My Stuff.
4. Highlight Memory Card, using the left or right navigation keys.
5. Press the left soft key for Options.
6. Select Memory Card Settings.
7. Select Format.
8. Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm the memory card format.

To transfer (Via a memory card) MP3 files, from a computer to the Samsung handset, please follow the steps below:

On the PC
1. Insert the memory card into the memory card adaptor.
2. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader.
3. Connect the memory card reader to the PC’s USB port.
4. Copy desired MP3 files from the PC hard drive.
5. Paste the MP3 files into the memory card's Audio or Music folder.
6. Remove the memory card from the memory card adaptor.

On the Samsung handset
1. Remove the memory card slot cover, located on the right side of the handset.
2. Insert the memory card into the memory card slot, until it locks in place.
3. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu.
4. Select My Stuff.
5. Highlight Memory Card, using the left or right navigation keys.
6. Select either Audio or Music folder to open the folder.
7. Press the left soft key for Options.
8. Select Copy.
9. Select Multiple.
10. Highlight All, using the navigation key.
11. Press the center navigation key to check the All box.
12. Press the left soft key for Copy.
13. Press the left soft key for Select to copy All to phone.
14. Highlight the destination location, using the navigation keys.
15. Press the left soft key for Options.
16. Select Paste to Selected Folder or Paste Here.
17. Press the left soft key for Select to paste MP3's in the selected location.

Note: Audio files less than 600 KB are treated as ringtones, whereas audio files which are greater than 600 KB are stored in the Music Folder. A user can not set an MP3 file as a ringtone if it is larger than 600 KB.

To Make a Conference Call, between yourself and two other callers, on the handset follow the steps below:

While in standby mode, dial the number for the first party, then press SEND
When connected, ask them to remain on the line.

Press the SEND key to place them on hold.
Dial the second party’s phone number and press SEND.
When the second party answers, press SEND to connect all three parties.
Note: As the originator of the conference call, should you disconnect, the other two parties will also be disconnected. If one of the individuals should disconnect, you will still be connected to the other.

I just hope that this piece of advice will be helpful to you.

The default passcode for the phone is "0000" or "00000000".
There is no way that we can retrieve the passcode that was set on the phone.
If the default passcode did not work then we can do a reset on the phone.

Should you desire additional assistance resolving this, we invite you to call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357 between the hours 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Hi hdonovan,

However, you may still connect your phone to a computer with Windows 7 operating system and transfer picture files using the listed steps below.

Via Memory Card

To transfer pictures (via a memory card), from the SGH-A707 handset, to a computer requires a microSD Memory Card, Memory Card Adaptor & Memory Card Reader. The microSD memory card must first be formatted, by the handset, in order for the handset to create the destination folders.

6. Press the left soft key for Options
7. Select Memory Card Settings (5)

Hi aunteelala!

There are no configurable options on the settings of the phone, to put ringtones that came from itunes (the handset does not support this file format). You may however try, to download a file converter using your preferred browser on a computer and convert the itunes to a MP3 file.

If you want to transfer MP3 files to the phone from a computer or vice versa, please refer to the steps provided below.
The USB cable, memory card, and a current version of the Windows Media Player are required for this procedure.

1. Open Windows Media Player (version 10.0 or higher) on your PC.
2. Use the USB cable to connect both the handset & the target PC. When the Select USB Mode window appears on the handset display select Media Player.
3. Confirm the handset's USB mode is set to Media Player by following the steps below:

◦While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
◦Select Settings
◦Select Connectivity (6)
◦Choose Select USB Mode (4)
◦Highlight Media Player, using the navigation keys
◦Press the left soft key to Save the USB Mode settings
4. Once the USB connection has been established, the handset displays "Connected" and the PC screen will show the A707 handset device.
5. From the Windows Media Player application, click on the Sync tab. Previously downloaded songs are listed on the left side.
6. Choose the destination location for the media files. Both the SGH-A707 – Phone and SGH-A707 Card entries appear in a drop-down list on the right side of the screen. This location selection determines whether the audio files will be synchronized with the Phone or with the memory card.

Note: If there are no items present in the playlist, click the Edit Play list button and begin adding the music files.

7. Click to check the boxes (to the left of the song) to select the song you want to synchronize to your handset.
8. Click the Start Sync button at the upper left corner to download the selected songs to your handset. A “synchronization in progress” message will appear. DO NOT unplug the handset during this process. Once complete, a Music folder will appear below the SGH-A707 entry on the right of the Sync tab.
9. Now it is safe to unplug the USB connector from the handset.

WARNING: DO NOT DISCONNECT USB CABLE DURING THE FILE TRANSFER
