Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry. Although the SGH-A697 (Sunburst) handset does not have a configurable POP3 or IMAP4 application, via AT&T’s wireless services there is a downloadable Mobile Email feature, located in the Messaging menu. This application provides, with certain e-mail services such as AOL, Hotmail, AT&T Mail, Gmail and others, the opportunity to receive "new mail" alerts with shortcut access to your inbox to read, delete, and respond to your e-mail as if you were on a PC.

For assistance with the use of AT&T Mobile Email services please contact your service provider.

Are you having a Phone Lock? Try using "0000” or “00000000” as a default passcode.

Although the handset features the NetFront v3.5 browser that allows you to access and navigate the worldwide wireless web, there are some limitations that may be encountered with regards to viewing pages that requires a flash player. Please coordinate with your service provider, as they may have some applications that you can purchase/download to help you with this issue.

samsung a697 icon doesn't appear on PC Studio.

I have a samsung sunburst a697 phone. I have new pc studio. I have connectivity set at usb on the phone. However, when I connect the phone, the icon doesn't appear on PC Studio. Please help.

Thank you for the inquiry. It sounds like you might have had Bluetooth activated when you tried to connect. Make sure its off before you plug the USB cable in. Here's a link to the instructions. http://bit.ly/kK3viT (copy and paste into a browser) See pg.60.

Can I save SMS text messages on the SD card instead of the phone?

I would like the change the settings so that my text messages are saved on the removable SD card so that I can save more messages than the phone allows. The phone keeps telling me that it is out of memory for text messages.

Unfortunately, upon checking the specifications and settings on the Samsung Sunburst™ Touchscreen Cell Phone (SGH-A697), there is no configurable option to save text messages to a microSD memory card.

turn your phone off and back on. wait about 5 minutes cause you need to allow your phone to boot up.if you do not it can act up like it has.

What do I do when my Sunburst is locked up and can not get past screen asking for PUK code?

SIM cards won't work now. have been without my phone service for several days. I think AT&T has mixed two different numbers on my account. I have refilled my minutes but not showing. Frustrated, No help at all from AT&T. Been trying to find the answer there since Saturday evening. Can you help me get this fixed today?

Hi there.

Thank you for your correspondence. PUK means Pin Unlock Key and it is required to unlock Pin when Pin is entered 3-10 times incorrectly. PUK is saved on the SIM card.

You need to contact your service provider to get the PUK code.

Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."

I just had my number changed & also the SIM Card, ATT has an incorrect number on my phone.

I have no signal, no service, I can not dial out or receive a call, I can not send a text or get one in. I have tried everything, a master reset, a couple of times, trying to go to answers from AT&T and all I do is go around and not get any help. I can not call Customer Service, no service. I tried to set up going through AT&T Navigator and can not access Navigator. I need help, I have been worrying with this since early last night? What can I do? When I could not get anything at all for AT&T, I have high hopes you can help restore my phone. Oh, tried that as well.
