Hi Albert13!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Are you referring deleting applications that are preloaded on the SGH-A597 handset?

Regarding this concern, upon checking the specifications and settings on the SGH-A597 handset, there are no configurable options to delete preloaded applications. This is the default settings of the phone and how it was designed.

Again, we thank you for comments and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Hi dmoh!

Thank you for your inquiry.

The first thing that you need to do is to configure the USB settings of the handset before connecting it with your personal computer.

1. From Idle mode, touch MENU ➔ Settings ➔ Connectivity ➔ Select USB Mode.
2. Select MASS STORAGE from one of the following USB modes:

• Ask on Connection
• Samsung PC Studio
• Media Player
• Mass Storage: allows you to utilize the onboard storage capacity of the phone’s microSD card to store and upload files. This option allows your computer to detect the phone’s microSD card as a
removable storage drive.
3. Touch SAVE.

If these steps won’t work, try to check this stuff:

o Try using a different USB port
o Restart the PC and soft reset the phone
o Make sure that the USB cable is Samsung genuine accessory
o Try to check the removable storage through the "My Computer"

Should you desire additional assistance regarding this, we invite you to call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357 between the hours 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Question

Why can I not type to text regularly? I have to hit about 4 mm above where it should be to get the correct letter.

I had the Eternity I and loved it and never had a single problem with it. I have told everyone I know how much I loved it. Now that I have the II, I have been having trouble. It seems to have a mind of its own. It will send messages when I am in the middle of typing them. The keypad on the screen is messed up. I have to hit way above the letter and it only sometimes works. I am having trouble accessing all I need from the menu as well. I am very disappointed with this phone. After all the good I spoke about the first one, I am upset with this one.

Press and hold icon, it should vibrate, letting you know you can now move it from screen to screen. Swipe your finger all the way to the left or right, holding it there until screen switches, postition the icon as you want it and let go, if you have enough room it should stay there. If you want to remove an icon from your screen do the same as mentioned before, except swipe down where there should be a trashcan. Dont worry, the icon will still be available on your phone should you decide to use it later. To add an icon, press and hold on an empty space on your screen, it should vibrate and a menu will come up, select what you want to add and position as you like.
