Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Most issues like this may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the handset, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.

At your earliest convenience, please call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Our repair facility will have the phone roughly 5-10 days from the time that it is received. Some dealer locations may offer a loaner phone program while your handset is in repair. While Samsung cannot control the availability of these products or programs in your area, please contact your local provider or dealer if you are in need of a phone, to find out if they are a participating member of this program. If you have any questions regarding this process, please ask the Service Representative at the time of your call.

Additionally, if your device is in warranty or you have insurance through your service provider, some providers do offer a replacement policy on phones which need servicing. In some cases, they may send out a replacement phone and the phone that you are having issues with will be sent back to them in return. For more details on a possible exchange, please contact your Service Provider.

Hi lukev!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Are you having a phone lock message or you would like to unlock your phone for adifferent network?

Unlocking the phone to use it for a different network requires permission from your current service provider as We hold a proprietary licensing agreement with them.

Contact your current service provider for assistance on how to unlock it using the unlock code they will provide. If the phone has a "Phone lock" and it's asking for a passcode, use the last 4 digits of your phone number as a default passcode.

If you are having "PIN LOCK" or "PUK LOCK", it's a lock on the simcard and you can ask for assistance with your service provider to help you with the PUK or PIN CODE to unlock it.

If the phone has a "Phone lock" and it's asking for a passcode, use "0000” or “00000000” as a default passcode.

For further assistance, please contact our Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Thank you for your inquiry. You may try doing the soft reset on the phone by taking out the battery for at least 10-15 seconds and then put the battery back in and evaluate it. If it's still not working and still doing the same thing, you may ask your service provider as this is a network dependent issue which is best assisted by your them.

Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry.

You can store phone numbers and their corresponding names in your SIM card and phone’s memory. They are physically separate but are used as a single entity, called Address Book. Phone numbers and names are stored by default to your phone memory. You can change the setting that will allow you to save phone numbers and names to your SIM card.

1. When the Idle screen displays, press Menu and then select Address Book. Press the Select soft key.
2. Highlight Contact List and press the Select soft key or the Menu key. Enter the first few letters of the name. The Address Book entries are then listed, starting with the first entry matching your input.
3. To select a different entry, press the Up or Down navigation key until the entry you want is highlighted.
4. Once you have found the entry, press the phone key to dial the number, or press the Options soft key to access the Address Book entry options.

Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding your concern, before you can use another SIM card from different service provider or from different country, you need to unlock phone first.

However, we cannot assist in unlocking the a107 Cell Phone (SGH-A107) for use on another network. We hold a proprietary licensing agreement with your Service Provider and it would be in violation of this agreement to assist in unlocking the phone.

AT&T WIreless has these codes and should be able to provide support for this.

Please Note: Unlocking of the phone, although at the discretion of the service provider is possible, will void all Samsung warranties for support or service. Features that are available on the intended network may not be accessible on the alternate network. Features on the alternate network may not be available this phone as these features are not those of the network on which the phone was intended to be used, and therefore, are not programmed.

As to whether or not a phone of this type will be available for the network of your choice in the future, we are only able to provide information regarding models that are currently on the market for sale, as any pre-release information would be subject to change and could therefore be inaccurate at the time of launch.

Again, we thank you for comments and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Hi schroeder311!

Thank you for your inquiry.

The FDN (Fixed Dial Number) mode, if supported by your SIM card, allows you to restrict your outgoing calls to a limited set of phone numbers. Note: Entries on the FDN Address Book must be deleted from within the FDN Address Book.

The FDN contacts are those contacts added to the FDN Address Book.

To enable or disable FDN mode on the a107 Cell Phone (SGH-A107), please follow the steps below:
1. From the standby screen, press Menu.
2. Press Settings.
3. Press Phone.
4. Press Security.
5. Press Set FDN Mode.
6. Scroll down then press one of the following Fixed Dialing Mode options:
- Off: you can call any phone number
- On: you can only call phone numbers stored in the FDN section of the SIM card
7. Enter PIN2 code, using the keypad.

Note: Not all SIM cards have a PIN2 code. If your SIM card does not, this menu option is not displayed. You must obtain your PIN2 code from your service provider. Entering an incorrect PIN2 code can cause the phone to lock, at which point, you will have to call your service provider customer service for assistance.

Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding your concern, PUK means Pin Unlock Key and it is required to unlock Pin when Pin is entered 3-10 times incorrectly. PUK is saved on the SIM card.

You need to contact your service provider to get the PUK.

Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."
