You will need to coordinate with your service provider and ask them for the Network Control Key (NCK code). This is an eight digit code which you can only get from your service provider.

After acquiring the NCK code you will have to call Samsung Technical Support at your earliest convenience by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time for further assistance in unlocking the handset.

Note: Do not enter the code on your own. This might lead the phone to freeze.

You may want to try other sim card with your handset or try to put your sim card into other device so you could identify if the problem resides with the phone or on the card.

If the problem resides on the sim card, you may replace your sim card with a brand new one however if the problem resides with the phone, then you may submit the phone to our repair center for further evaluation.

It will be best to contact your service provider. You would need to activate the phone your network provider. You shall also provide the serial number or the IMEI that you can find at the back of the phone beneath the battery to them, and they can give you the information with regards to the phone number associated with your phone.

Are you getting a PUK lock?

A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you need to contact your service provider to get the PUK code to unlock it.

Are you trying to adjust the volume while on a call?

During a call, if you want to adjust the earpiece volume, use the
Up or Down Navigation keys.

To adjust the ringtone volume, go to sound settings and use the navigation keys to adjust the ring volume ranging from 1-7.

1. From the Home screen of your handset, go to Menu
2. Go to Address Book
3. Go to Address Book Settings
4. Select Own Number

And regarding on making an outgoing call, you may try to check if you have a strong signal for you to make or receive calls. If so and you still can't make calls, I highly suggest contacting your service provider as this concern is a network d ependent issue.

To remove a contact from reject list, please follow the steps below:

1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Call Settings.
4. Select All Calls.
5. Select Auto Reject.
6. Highlight Auto Reject List, using the navigation keys.
7. Press the center navigation key to view the Auto Reject List.
8. Highlight the phone number to delete, using the navigation keys.
9. Press the left soft key for Options.
10. Select Delete (4) to delete the phone number from the Auto Reject List.

Does this phone work outside usa after unlocking.

I've unlock phone using code provided by ATT. I am India for few weeks but the phone is not working with any service providers in India. Is there are setting required to work it with other providers or this phone works only for ATT.
