If your phone is stating "emergency calls only", it means that your phone is not getting good signal.

You may try doing a soft reset on your phone by turning off the phone and removing the battery for a couple of seconds and put it back again.

If it didn't work then we can try doing a reset on your phone.

To turn off the wake up alarm on your phone, please follow the steps below:

1. When the Idle screen displays, press Menu > My Stuff > Tools > Alarms.
The following options display:
• Wake-up Alarm: the alarm rings to wake you up at the specified
time.
2. Set the following options:
• Alarm Name: allows you to use a specific name for the alarm. The
name will appear on the display when the alarm activates. Does not
appear if the alarm type is Wake-up Alarm.
• Alarm: use this to activate/deactivate this feature (On/Off).

Regarding your concern, we recommend having a soft reset on the a107 Cell Phone (SGH-A107). Soft reset is removing the battery for about a minute on your phone and putting it back just for you to refresh the settings on the handset.

Should this troubleshooting step did not work; we recommend you to contact your service provider and have an assistance to configure the settings of your phone for call service.

technical; will my phone work internationally?

i've been on the phone with at&t now for close to an hour. the question: will my samsung
sgh a107 work internationally? countries that i will be visiting for work: egypt, jebel ali (uae), singapore, pakistan, sri lanka, and spain. they seem to think if someone signs up for the international plan that it will majically work internationally. does this phone anywhere besides the u.s. and canada?

The Message alert tone for your Samsung SGH-A107 would be set for only those default tones that came preloaded on the handset. There's no configurable option for you to set a ringing tone as a text message of the phone.

Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding about your concern, to change the ringtone on the SGH-A107 handset:

1. While in standby mode, press on Menu.
2. Press Settings.
3. Press Sound Profile.
4. Press on the Sound Profile to be edited. (Normal, Silent, Driving, Outdoor)
5. From the Call screen (Use the drop down arrow):
• Press on Call Alert Type (Melody)
a. Press on the desired Call Alert Type setting from the following:
-Melody
-Vibration
-Vibration then Melody
-Vibration & Melody
b. Press on Save to keep the Call Alert Type setting.
• Press on Voice Call Ringtone (AT&T Tone).
Press on the desired Voice Call Ringtone then press on Save or press on Tones, press on the desired Tone then press on Add.
• Set the Ringtone Volume setting.
6. Press on Save to keep the Normal, Driving or Outdoor Sound Profile settings.

The message "no text while driving" is written on a sticker. You can gently remove the sticker by peeling it off from the top of the screen. You can go to the store where you purchased the phone if you need further assistance in removing the sticker.

Text Messaging Addressees - can I set the default to only one addressee?

When I create a text message, and click "send," there is more than one addressee field. I'd like there to only be one. And I'd also like to begin typing the name so that the phone automatically looks for the addressee, rather than 1. only being able to type a phone number unless I choose "options," which takes me to the addressbook, where, 2. I must "check" recipients and click add.

I'd like to just be able to type someone's name into the addressee box.

Hi there.

You may call your service provider and ask if there will options to download ringtones or wallpapers from them. There will be no option for the phone to connect to a computer or other device (to get such files) as software is not available to do so.
