After installing the Samsung MFP SCX-4623F printer software on my Windows 7 computer, an application appeared on my desktop called "Dr. Printer," but it did not work properly and it was never able to connect with the server. I also got a pop up message that said an update was available for it, but when I tried to install that update I received another message that the zip file was incompatible with my OS. I finally uninstalled the "Dr. Printer" program, but can find no reference to it on the Samsung website so I can re-install a newer version or troubleshoot the original.
Aquiring a TIFF image from the scanner through 3rd party software
I recently installed a Samsung SCX-4623F multi-function printer for a client. They are an insurance agency that uses a remote desktop session to access their hosted solutions. One of the solutions aquires images from any attached scanner device and imports it into their program. The solution aquires the image from the Samsung SCX-4623F properly, but it is in .jpg format and only one page get's imported at a time. The solution is looking for a .tiff image so that it can import multiple pages. Is there a way to default the Samsung SCX-4623F to scan in .tiff when a third-party application requests a scan from it? Thanks for any help you can provide!!!!
