Question

Where can I purchase a replacement cable for the GPS antenna for my Verizon/Samsung Network Extender?

The unit was purchased about 2 years ago, Model # SCS-26UC4. Cable itself is labelled "VIMA Cable RG-174 Halogen Free". Verizon both on line and in person were not helpful and sent me to Samsung site for support. I have not been able to find anything like this on your website, or any aftermarket cables with exact configuration of connectors. If this cable cannot be replaced, would any detachable GPS antenna work instead (such as those made by Glisson for Garmin GPS units?)

Question

Extra Cable for Network Extender

I have a Samsung network extender that I got from Verizon. I need to use the external antenna given where I need the device to go but the cable that comes with it is not long enough to get the antenna to a window. Is it possible to get a longer cable or perhaps an additional cable so that I can get the antenna where it needs to be?

Question

Long Text Messages

I have a SCS-26UC4 wireless network extender.

Whenever someone sends me a text message longer than 160 characters, Verizon breaks apart the message into multiple 160 character messages. That's normal. But when I am using the network extender, any/all messages beyond the first 160 characters become "garbled" and illegible. When I turn off the network extender and have the person resend the long message, it comes through fine.

Is this a "known" issue? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Can't receive a GPS signal

This is our 2nd extender. The first one worked 3 days, then quit. We sent it back and got a replacement, this one has never obtained the GPS signal at all. We live in wide-open South Dakota where there is nothing blocking a signal, so do we have a second bad unit:

Question

Can the GPS antenna for the Verizon Wireless Network Extender be mounted outside

Antenna only picks up a signal when it is outside based on our location. An instructions on how the antenna should be protected if mounted outside the residence ? (Area gets rain/snow etc)

Question

Why does the network extender cause my phone location to be off by over 50 miles.

Verizon sent a replacement network extender and all of the phones in my house are still reporting the wrong location. When I reboot the extender my phone reports the correct location for approximately 20 minutes and then the location becomes skewed. I live in Alexandria VA and my phone says I'm in Annapolis MD. If I power down the network extender my phone has the correct location. My phone is a Droid Incredible 2.

Network Extender goes in and out of service

Model Scs-2U01 Sys light will start Blinkiing red, then after some time (20-30 min) the GPS light will blink red for a while, then it seems to re-boot itself, and all will go blue again.
