As checked on Samsung website, there's no driver to download for SCH-U960. However, if you would like to connect your phone to PC without the use of drivers then all you have to do is configure the phone to USB Mass Storage. The SCH-U960 (Rogue) handset has the capability to transfer files directly between a PC and a memory card (residing within the handset) with a compatible USB data cable using the mass storage feature, follow the steps below:

Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

Connect the USB data cable to both the PC and handset
From the home screen, press Menu
Press Settings & Tools
Press Tools (2)
Scroll down then press USB Mass Storage (0)
The display will now show "Connected to the PC..." Calls Disabled"
The PC will now show a new removable disk in Windows Explorer
Select the desired action (such as Open folder to view/copy files) and click OK
After copying selected files from the PC to the microSD card, inserted in the phone, touch DISCONNECT on the phone to restore phone service then touch Yes to confirm

If connection is unsuccessful, kindly try to check the following....

> Try using a different USB port (if using a desktop PC, please try to connect the USB data cable at the back port of the CPU)
> Restart the PC and soft reset the phone (turn off and remove the battery for about a minute and put it back in the phone and turn it on again)
> Make sure that the USB cable is samsung genuine accessory
> Try using a different USB cable
> Try to check the removable storage through the "My Computer"
> Disable or turn off the bluetooth connection of the phone

Hi there.

You can make calls using the keypad by:

1. Open slide of phone.
2. From the Home screen, touch the Dialler icon and enter the phone, or Vanity number using the QWERTY keypad.
***Note: Phone numbers may be entered in either numeric or alphabetic mode using the QWERTY keyboard, but will be converted to numeric when dialed or saved.
3. Touch Call icon.
***Just a tip, if the number(s) entered is a speed dial location, the phone number associated with that location will be dialed.

Thank you.

Hi there!

Apparently, we do not have any available software nor drivers that you would be needing for you to connect the phone to the computer.

To transfer pictures (via a memory card), from the SCH-U960 (Rogue) handset, to a PC follow the steps below:

1. Insert the formatted microSD memory card into the memory card slot
2. From the standby screen, press Menu.
3. Press Settings & Tools.
4. Scroll down then press Memory.
5. Press Phone Memory.
6. Press either My Pictures.
7. Press Move.
8. Press each desired Photo to check their box and then press Done.
9. Press Yes to Move the Photo(s) to the microSD memory card.
10. Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card slot.
11. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor.
12. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader.
13. Insert the memory card reader into the USB slot on the PC.
14. Navigate to the Photo location, inside the my_pix folder, using Windows Explorer.
14. Drag and drop or copy & paste the Photo or Video into the desired destination on the PC.

Note: To transfer pictures or videos from a PC simply paste them into the my_pix folder on the memory card.

Hi there.

The Samsung Rogue has the capability to transfer files directly between a PC and a memory card (residing within the handset) with a compatible USB data cable using the mass storage feature or media sync with Windows Media Player.

Just a tip, the plug-in microSD memory card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the card and keep all memory cards out of reach of children.

Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

To use the USB Mass Storage feature follow the steps below:

Connect the USB data cable to both the PC and handset
From the home screen, press Menu
Press Settings & Tools
Press Tools (2)
Scroll down then press USB Mass Storage (0)
The display will now show "Connected to the PC..." Calls Disabled"
The PC will now show a new removable disk in Windows Explorer
Select the desired action (such as Open folder to view/copy files) and click OK
After copying selected files from the PC to the microSD card, inserted in the phone, touch DISCONNECT on the phone to restore phone service then touch Yes to confirm

To configure the handset's USB setting for Media Sync Mode follow the steps below:

From the home screen, press Menu
Press Settings & Tools
Scroll down then press USB Mode (0)
Press either Media Sync Mode or Ask On Plug from the following:
-Media Sync Mode: When the USB data cable is connected, the device is ready to sync media like music, pictures, and videos from a PC to the microSD memory card inserted in the phone
-Modem Mode: Allows the use of the Verizon Wireless Mobile Office kit to utilize the handset as a modem for a computer (This may require additional service activation available through Verizon Wireless)
-Ask On Plug: The handset will prompt you to select the USB mode each time the USB data cable is connected to the phone and to the USB port of a computer

Question

Are there any updates for my phone?

I've got the samsung rogue through verizon wireless. I seem to have issues with it sometimes. When I slide the phone open sometimes it distorts the screen, causing me to turn it off then back on. And other times it completely freezes and I have to pull the battery out to reset it. I have updated the software through verizon but was wondering if there was any seperate samsung software that I could update. I really like my phone but it gets annoying having to reset my phone multiple times a day and even have to pull the battery out at least once a day. Thanks!
