Hi Reneek!

Thank you for taking the time to inform us of the issue concerning your Samsung product.

Upon checking the specifications and settings on the Samsung Rogue™ Full Qwerty Cell Phone (SCH-U960), there are no configurable options available viewing text messages with the keypad. You need to use the touch screen to go this menu.

Regarding you concern on the touch screen, most issues may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup warranty service for your phone, if it is determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone.

If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the phone has failed, our Repair Administrators create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the Phone. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and that the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, it will be repair under warranty.

For troubleshooting and questions related to possible repairs we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Care at your earliest convenience through our toll free number 1-888-987-HELP (1-888-987-4357).

A Customer Service Representative will be able to assist you between the hours 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time. The defective product will need to be sent to our repair center and a Proof of Purchase is required. The Repair Administrator will assign RMA # for the repair that will need to be written under our address on the outside of the package being sent. The phone will be tested and inspected for quality assurance while in our facilities.

Again, we thank you for comments and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

We appreciate your continued interest in Samsung products.

Hi mpagel15,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Although there are no configurable options available to transfer pictures from Samsung Rogue phone directly to a computer, you can transfer it via memory card, send a picture via e-mail or to the Verizon Online Album.

Via Memory Card

Important!: The plug-in microSD memory card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the card and keep all memory cards out of reach of children.

To transfer pictures (via a memory card) to a computer requires a microSD Memory Card, Memory Card Adaptor & Memory Card Reader. The microSD memory card MUST first be formatted, by the handset, in order for the handset to create the destination folders. Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

12. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor.
13. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader.
14. Insert the memory card reader into the USB slot on the computer.
15. Navigate to the Photo location, inside the my_pix (or my_flix) folder, using Windows Explorer.
16. Drag and drop or copy & paste the Photo or Video into the desired destination on the computer.
Note: To transfer pictures or videos from a computer simply paste them into the my_pix or my_flix folder on the memory card.

Hi there!

There are no configurable options on the settings of the Samsung Rogue, to connect it to a computer and listen to rhapsody.

Samsung does not support the use of 3rd party applications and services with any of our devices. For this reason, we do not have information compiled on possible resources. The suggestion we can offer would be to search the internet to locate an application to suit your needs.

If you are having issues with the use of a specific 3rd party application or service, we recommend contacting the manufacturer of that application or service for compatibility and support assistance.

Hi FiftyNineR69!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Audio files less than 300 KB are treated as ringtones, whereas audio files which are greater than 300 KB are considered as Music. Users cannot set an MP3 file as a ringtone if it is larger than 300 KB. Some MP3 files transferred to the handset via download may not be able to be used as ringtones or alerts.

Thank you for correspondence.

Are you referring unlocking the phone because of phone lock?

If yes, what we can offer for the phone would be the default password which could be either "0000" or "00000000"

We do not have any option to retrieve the previous password that you have set on this phone.

If the default codes will not work, then you may call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot this issue in a timelier manner that we could through this forum.

At your earliest convenience, please call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

If you are referring unlocking the phone so that you can use the SGH-A697 handset with network provider, we recommend contacting AT&T to assist you unlocking the phone.

Thanks and have a great day!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately, Samsung does not offer a Data Kit package for transferring information between a Samsung Rogue™ Full Qwerty Cell Phone (SCH-U960) and computer.

However, you can forward the text message to an email address for you to transfer text messages to your computer.

Hi there!

The SCH-U960 (Rogue) handset features two different methods to transfer pictures from the handset to a PC. Each steps will be discussed below.

Please Note: The SCH-U960 (Rogue) handset includes support for Digital Rights Management (DRM) which allows you to play or view some purchased or subscription content. These copyright protections may prevent some images, videos, music (including ringtones) and other content from being played, copied, modified, transferred or forwarded.

>>Via Memory Card

Important!: The plug-in microSD memory card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the card and keep all memory cards out of reach of children.

To transfer pictures (via a memory card) to a PC requires a microSD Memory Card, Memory Card Adaptor & Memory Card Reader. The microSD memory card MUST first be formatted, by the handset, in order for the handset to create the destination folders. Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

TO FORMAT MEMORY CARD:

1. Insert a memory card into the memory card slot
2. From the standby screen, press Menu
3. Press Settings & Tools
4. Scroll down then press Memory (9)
5. Press Card Memory (3)
6. Scroll down then press Format Card
7. Press Yes to confirm Formatting the Memory Card

Caution!: Do not repeatedly format a Memory Card as this shortens it's service life

WARNING: Formatting the microSD Memory Card will permanently erase all data

Note: Locked pictures cannot be moved to a memory card

STEPS:

1. Insert the formatted microSD memory card into the memory card slot
2. From the standby screen, press Menu
3. Press Settings & Tools
4. Scroll down then press Memory (9)
5. Press Phone Memory (2)
6. Press either My Pictures (2) or My Videos (3)
7. Press Move
8. Press each desired Photo or Video to check their box
9. Press Done
10. Press Yes to Move the Photo(s) or Video(s) to the microSD memory card
11. Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card slot
12. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor
13. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader
14. Insert the memory card reader into the USB slot on the PC
15. Navigate to the Photo location, inside the my_pix (or my_flix) folder, using Windows Explorer
16. Drag and drop or copy & paste the Photo or Video into the desired destination on the PC

Note: To transfer pictures or videos from a PC simply paste them into the my_pix or my_flix folder on the memory card

>>Via Message
STEPS:

1. From the home screen, press Messages
2. Press Send Message (1)
3. Press Picture Message (2)
4. To the right of 1 enter the recipients e-mail address
5. Press on each recipient to check their box(es) then press Done
6. Press the Text box then enter the Message text (up to 1000 characters)
7. Press the Picture box then press the desired picture to enlarge it
8. Press to Add the Picture to the Message or press Camera to take a new photo
9. Press the Sound box then press the desired Sound or press Record New to add a new recording
10. Press the Subject box then enter the Subject text (up to 80 characters)
11. Press the Name Card box then press to add My Name Card or a Contact
12. Press Send to forward the Picture Message to the recipient(s)

Note: Picture & Video Messages are only available within the Verizon Wireless Enhanced Services Area

Tip: You can send a Picture Message to up to 10 recipients

Note: To send a message to a group the group must first be added to the favorites

In addition, you may also try to contact your Service Provider if there are option for wireless back up.

If you need further assistance, please call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.
