The Serial Number can be found on your phone on the label beneath the battery. Serial Number is the ESN number of the phone.

HEX The Hexidecimal ESN is the alphanumeric code that is 8 - 14 characters in length.

Once the cursor jumps to the Serial Number field you need to enter the ESN number.

We do not have an reset codes for the SCH-U820.
In order for you to do a reset the phone, you need to go to the settings or the phone can be reflashed.

Resetting the phone will delete informations that are saved on the phone.

Soft reset can be done by turning off the phone and removing the battery for a couple of seconds.

To send message to social network are as follows :

1. From a Home screen, touch Message > New Message > TXT Message.
2. Enter recipients:

• Touch Contacts to select from the Contacts List.
• Touch Recent Calls to select from Recent Calls.
• Touch Favorites to select from Favorites.
• Touch the Recipient field to enter a recipient’s phone number, contact name, or Email address manually. Touch the globe icon to insert common web or Email phrases, such as .com or @verizon.com.

Tip: As you enter the characters of a contact’s name, matching contacts display. Touch the desired contact to add it to the field.

3. Touch the Text field, or press the inverted triangle to move to the Text field, and compose your message. While entering text, touch Options for these options:

• Paste Text: If copied text is available, insert the copied text into the text field.’
• Save as Draft: Save a copy of the message in the Drafts folder.
• Insert Quick Text: Choose from 19 pre-loaded phrases.
• Add: Add a graphic, animation, sound, or name card (not available if recipient is an Email address).
• Copy Text: If text is available for copying, select text to copy.
• Edit Text Format: Choose font size, alignment, style and color, plus message background color (not available if recipient is an Email address).
• Sending Options: Set the Priority, choose whether to include a Callback # in the message, and set the callback number.
• Cancel Message: Cancel the message, with the option to save it in the Drafts folder.

4. Touch Send or press Send to send the message.

You can try the below options to download or transfer pictures from camera to PC without the use of a micro SD card :

Via Message

To send a picture to an e-mail address follow the steps below:

From the home screen, press Message
Press New Message (1)
Press Picture Message (2)
To the right of 1 enter the recipients e-mail address
Press on each recipient to check their box(es) then press Done
Press the Text box then enter the Message text (up to 1000 characters)
Press the Picture box then press the desired picture to enlarge it
Press to Add the Picture to the Message or press Camera to take a new photo
Press the Sound box then press the desired Sound or press Record New to add a new recording
Press the Subject box then enter the Subject text (up to 80 characters)
Press the Name Card box then press to add My Name Card or a Contact
Press Send to forward the Picture Message to the recipient(s)
Note: Picture & Video Messages are only available within the Verizon Wireless Enhanced Services Area

Tip: You can send a Picture Message to up to 10 recipients

Note: To send a message to a group the group must first be added to the favorites

There is no configurable option to lock the pictures on your phone but you an have a phone lock mode.

In Phone Lock mode, you can answer calls, but the phone must be unlocked to place outgoing calls (except to emergency numbers). The phone locks automatically the next time it is powered on and stays locked until you enter the correct lock code.

To enable or disable the Phone Lock setting follow the steps below:

From the home screen, touch Menu
Touch Settings & Tools
Touch Phone Settings
Touch Security
Enter the Lock Code (Default is last 4 digits of phone number)
Touch one of the following:
Touch Phone Lock Setting
From the Phone Lock Setting touch one of the folllowing:
Unlocked - The phone remains unlocked
On Power Up - The phone locks after power up
Touch Lock Phone Now - The phone locks immediately and stays locked until the correct lock code is entered

Is it possible to allocate more memory to the calendar function on my Samsung Reality?

I find the calendar memory on my Reality frequently full, and I constantly have to erase old entries in order to add new ones. I would like to reallocate memory from functions I don't use on the phone to the calendar. Is this possible?

Pertaining to your query, the memory on the calendar entry is incorporated on the phone and it is being saved on the internal memory of the phone. However if you would want to expand the memory we do not have any configurable options to add or expand memory on the mobile.

Thank you for your inquiry.
To connect your phone to your computer to transfer files, you don’t need to download any driver for it. Your Samsung Reality phone has the capability of doing it, even without a driver.
Let me show you the procedure on how to do it. This method is the Mass Storage Mode. Please be reminded that Micro SD card is also needed for this. And this is for transferring pictures, videos and music.
For pictures and videos: (it also applies to music)
Connect the USB data cable to both the PC and handset
From the home screen, press Menu
Press Settings & Tools
Press Tools (2)
Scroll down then press USB Mass Storage (0)
The display will now show "Connected to the PC..." Calls Disabled"
The PC will now show a new removable disk in Windows Explorer
Select the desired action (such as Open folder to view/copy files) and click OK
After copying selected files from the PC to the micro SD card, inserted in the phone, touch DISCONNECT on the phone to restore phone service then touch Yes to confirm.
For Music or MP3:
Sync Music
In order to use the Sync Music option, the PC must be loaded with Windows Media Player 10 or higher. To download Windows Media Player 10 or higher visit the following website: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/.
To sync MP3 files from Windows Media Player to the phone memory or memory card follow the steps below:
From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either Media Sync Mode or Ask on Plug.
Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
If prompted, select Media Sync Mode
Open Windows Media Player 10 or higher then click on the Sync tab
From the Windows Media Player application Sync tab, ensure that the SCH-U820 device displays in the upper-right corner of the screen. If not, click on Next device until the SCH-U820 appears.
Click on the Library plus sign (+) then click on Songs to display a list
Drag or Add the MP3 file(s) from the library to the Sync List or playlist
Select Start Sync to transfer the MP3 file(s) to the handset memory or memory card
After the file transfer is completed it will be safe to remove the USB data cable from both the handset & PC
WARNING: DO NOT DISCONNECT USB CABLE DURING THE FILE TRANSFER.
With music you have two methods that you can try.

The Event Status Bar appears on the Home screen to alert you to calendar events, missed calls, new messages, or special Master Volume modes.
The Event Status Bar does not display when there are no active alerts.
Touch an event in the Event Status bar to launch the Event Manager.

An icon illuminated in color indicates an alert. Touching an icon on the bar opens the Event Manager menu.

Can I increase the maximum calendar entries?

I have tried adding new calendar event and it tells me I have the maximum number of entries stored. I do have a micro SD card in it but it does not allow me to store entries on the card.

Calendar entries cannot be stored in the SD card and if it had exceeded the number of maximum entries then you need to either Erase All Old (Delete all past events) or Erase All (Delete all) events in your calendar inorder to add a new event on it.

Why Does My Phone Continuously Reboot?

I have had this current phone for about 2 months. It is a factory refurbish. I can be in the middle of doing anything and it will just shut off and reboot. I checked the Software updates and it said I had none. I have had 3 of these phones in the past 6 months and they have all beel riddled with unique issues. I still enjoy the phone overall. It has several more issues still.

Most issues like this may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the handset, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. Hi, it’s called caller id readout and here’s what you need to do to stop it from announcing the caller’s name.
From the home screen, tap menu, settings & tools, sound settings, call sounds, tap caller id readout and select ring only.

Kindly soft reset the phone first (turn off and remove the battery for about a minute and put it back in the phone and turn it on) then try to access the camera again. If problem still persist then please contact Samsung Technical Support 1-888-987-4357 Direct Hotline for further assistance. The phone needs to be free so that the representative can walk you through in performing the Reset on the phone. Before doing so, please back up all your contacts with your Service Provider and media files (pictures, videos and music) to your SD card or to the computer because Reset will restore back the phone into its original factory settings or it will delete all the information that's been saved on the phone memory. Further details will be explained on the call.

My front face screen came off after I dropped my phone, how do I go about getting it fixed because my touch screen does not work now?

I have the Samsung Reality
The front screen cracked and came out after I dropped it and now the touch does not work at all. Due to the touch not working I cannot read incoming text or dial a number manually on my phone. I also can not go to my menu or including pictures, settings, etc except through voice command. I do not have insurance on my phone but I still would pay to get it fixed. Please give me a solution rather than paying full retail price for another phone. Thanks

Hi, with the Samsung Reality if you could notice when you set wallpaper, you will be getting option if you are going to set it for lock screen, home screen 1, 2 and 3. Maybe what is happening is that when you set the wallpaper, you set it for home screen 1, 2 and 3 and not for the lock screen. Because if that is the case what’s going to happen is that once the phone automatically locks up the wallpaper will be change. Just to check maybe you can go menu – media center – picture and video – my pictures – tap on the assigned picture – tap on set as – tap on wallpaper – and then check the 4 boxes (lock screen, home screen 1, 2 and 3). In that case you can actually see if what is or what are the pictures that are assigned to each of the boxes.
