Hi santoluzbel!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding your concern, upon checking the specifications and settings on the Samsung Reality™ Touchscreen Cell Phone (SCH-U820) OS is only compatible with the Windows based OS.

However, you can still download and transfer media files from your MAC OS computer to the phone using Mass Storage which requires you to have the memory card and a memory card reader on your computer.

If the microSD memory card came from another phone and you could not saved any files on it. Try to format the microSD memory card using your phone so that the phone will recognize the microSD memory card inserted in it.

To format microSD memory card on the SCH-U820 handset:
1. Insert a memory card into the memory card slot.
2. From the standby screen, press Menu.
3. Press Settings & Tools.
4. Scroll down then press Memory.
5. Press Card Memory.
6. Scroll down then press Format Card.
7. Press Yes to confirm Formatting the Memory Card.

Note: Formatting the microSD memory card will delete all information saved on your memory card. I will suggest backing up first your files saved on the microSD memory card.

To transfer (Via a memory card) media files from a PC, to the Samsung phone follow the steps below:

On the PC:
1. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor.
2. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader.
3. Connect the memory card reader to the PC’s USB port.
4. Copy desired MP3 files from the PC hard drive.
5. Paste the MP3 files into the microSD memory card's designated folder. (Pictures, videos, audios)
6. Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card adaptor.

Again, we thank you for comments and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

We appreciate your continued interest in Samsung products.

Hi blflavaz,

Thank you for your correspondence.

Are you using a Samsung Bluetooth headset? Please check if the Bluetooth that you are using supports the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). A2DP, also known as "Bluetooth Stereo Profile", allows stereo quality audio to be streamed from a media source to a connected device. If the Bluetooth headset that you have has this feature and you cannot stream music, you may call Samsung Customer Support for assistance.

At your earliest convenience, please call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Hi paulsnow1978!

Thank you for your inquiry.

The phone needs to have the .GIF type of file for you to have an animated wallpaper or image on your Samsung Reality™ (SCH-U820). And this type of file is supported by the handset so you can have this type of image on the phone and set as your wallpaper. And please check the resolution settings of an image that you should have on the handset: 1600 X 1200, 1024 X 768, 640 X 480, 320 X 240. Other: 2048 X 1536 and 1920 X 1080.

Question

where is the zoom button for the camera on the Samsung Reality phone?

I have used the camera extensively, but have never found a button (onscreen or off) that activates a zoom function. It is somewhat frustrating, as I've read in the product literature that there should be 9x zoom.

Hi lhubbard512!

Thank you for your correspondence. There is no driver software for the phone that can be download on our website. However, you can perform a mass storage to transfer media files between the phone and the computer. You can follow the steps below.

Note: Phone must have inserted a memory card and making sure to use Samsung USB cable

Connect the USB data cable to both the PC and handset
From the home screen, press Menu
Press Settings & Tools
Press Tools (2)
Scroll down then press USB Mass Storage (0)
The display will now show "Connected to the PC..." Calls Disabled"
The PC will now show a new removable disk in Windows Explorer
Select the desired action (such as Open folder to view/copy files) and click OK
After copying selected files from the PC to the microSD card, inserted in the phone, touch DISCONNECT on the phone to restore phone service then touch Yes to confirm

If the steps still won’t work, try to temporarily disable the firewall and antivirus of the computer and retry to perform a mass storage option again.

If the phone doesn’t have a memory card you may have to send the pictures and videos to your e-mail address and retrieve it on your computer.

We thank you for your patronage of Samsung products.

After hooking up your device to the computer, you will see the USB symbol in the "communicator line" (at the top of your display). Pull this down by touching and sliding it down. Select "USB connected", another window appears, select "Mount". You should now be able to view, move, access files on your device and pc.

Question

My phone displays the wrong time (I live near a time zone line)

My phone just recently started displaying the incorrect time. About 75% of the time it displays Central time, when it should be displaying Eastern time. I live about 5 miles away from the Central timezone. This is incredibly frustrating as I don't wear a watch and use the phone to know the time and I use my phone as an alarm clock. I currently have it set up so it displays two clocks, the other being Detroit time, but that doesn't change the part where my alarm goes off an hour late. Is there any way to tell my phone to stay in the Eastern Time zone?

Question

When using the web browser I go to a certain page, it wont allow me to zoom in?

For a page I go to, I cannot zoom in closer on a page which makes it impossible to read anything. The zoom function does not appear on the left and a task bar does not appear at the bottom. How do I get this to work?

Hi Jp30!

Thank you for your inquiry.

The Speakerphone/Zoom key would be the button for you to zoom in or out from the web page. Press to activate speakerphone. In Browser, press to increase and decrease size of web content, or in zoom mode when viewing a picture in My Pictures.
