I recently discovered that my Event Status Bar is no longer at the bottom of my home pages. I've attempted to look through the user guide, and have looked around on the phone its self, and I can't find it.

The Event Status Bar appears on the Home screen to alert you to calendar events, missed calls, new messages, or special Master Volume modes.
The Event Status Bar does not display when there are no active alerts.
Touch an event in the Event Status bar to launch the Event Manager.

An icon illuminated in color indicates an alert. Touching an icon on the bar opens the Event Manager menu.

There are no configurable options for you to send ringtones via text message on your Samsung Reality (SCH-U820) handset.

Greetings!
Upon checking the phone information, we do not have an option to connect the phone to Mac book using your usb cable.
However if you intend to transfer files using the usb cable you can use mass storage for the phone, below are the step on how to set it on the phone:
Mass Storage
To use the USB Mass Storage feature follow the steps below:+
1. Connect the USB data cable to both the PC and handset
2. From the home screen, press Menu
3. Press Settings & Tools
4. Press Tools
5. Scroll down then press USB Mass Storage
6. The display will now show "Connected to the PC..." Calls Disabled"
7. The PC will now show a new removable disk in Windows Explorer
8. Select the desired action (such as Open folder to view/copy files) and click OK
9. After copying selected files from the PC to the microSD card, inserted in the phone, touch DISCONNECT on the phone to restore phone service then touch Yes to confirm

Kindly soft reset the phone first (turn off and remove the battery for about a minute and put it back in the phone and turn it on) then try to access the camera again. If problem still persist then please contact Samsung Technical Support 1-888-987-4357 Direct Hotline for further assistance. The phone needs to be free so that the representative can walk you through in performing the Reset on the phone. Before doing so, please back up all your contacts with your Service Provider and media files (pictures, videos and music) to your SD card or to the computer because Reset will restore back the phone into its original factory settings or it will delete all the information that's been saved on the phone memory. Further details will be explained on the call.

My Samsung Reality cell phone does not hold the Lock or Home screen pictures that I "set" for longer than a few hours.

The Lock and Home screens revert to the default pictures after a few hours, never longer than a day.

Question

Why Does My Phone Continuously Reboot?

I have had this current phone for about 2 months. It is a factory refurbish. I can be in the middle of doing anything and it will just shut off and reboot. I checked the Software updates and it said I had none. I have had 3 of these phones in the past 6 months and they have all beel riddled with unique issues. I still enjoy the phone overall. It has several more issues still.

Most issues like this may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the handset, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. Press Wallpaper (4)
Select screen to be changed

Did you receive it as Multi- Media Message?

Please contact your service provider for settings on your MMS service on your phone. You may also contact the person who sent out the picture if there is an encryption made upon sending it.

Can I increase the maximum calendar entries?

I have tried adding new calendar event and it tells me I have the maximum number of entries stored. I do have a micro SD card in it but it does not allow me to store entries on the card.

Calendar entries cannot be stored in the SD card and if it had exceeded the number of maximum entries then you need to either Erase All Old (Delete all past events) or Erase All (Delete all) events in your calendar inorder to add a new event on it.

If you would like to connect phone to the computer then you do not need any drivers to download for Samsung Reality. USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a type of plug-in connection that is used to connect devices, including some handsets, to desktop or laptop PC's. In a handset, USB is useful for quickly transferring files to and from phones, or for synchronizing information with a PC application.

The SCH-U820 (Reality) handset has the capability to transfer files directly between a PC and a memory card (residing within the handset) with a compatible USB data cable using the mass storage feature or media sync with Windows Media Player.

Note: The minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This phone does support the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

To use the USB Mass Storage feature follow the steps below :

Connect the USB data cable to both the PC and handset
From the home screen, press Menu
Press Settings & Tools
Press Tools (2)
Scroll down then press USB Mass Storage (0)
The display will now show "Connected to the PC..." Calls Disabled"
The PC will now show a new removable disk in Windows Explorer
Select the desired action (such as Open folder to view/copy files) and click OK
After copying selected files from the PC to the microSD card, inserted in the phone, touch DISCONNECT on the phone to restore phone service then touch Yes to confirm

If connection is unsuccessful, kindly try to check the following....

> Try using a different USB port (if using a desktop PC, please try to connect the USB data cable at the back port of the CPU)
> Restart the PC and soft reset the phone (turn off and remove the battery for about a minute and put it back in the phone and turn it on again)
> Make sure that the USB cable is samsung genuine accessory
> Try using a different USB cable
> Try to check the removable storage through the "My Computer"
> Disable or turn off the bluetooth connection of the phone

Question

When I am on a phonecall my phone won't end the call. When I press end it goes black and own't let me end the call.

The only way to end the phone call would be to power down the phone. What could the problem be? I kept the phone off all night to see if it needed a break but that didn't do anything

Is there a QR code reader that is supported by this phone- Samsung Reality?

I can't seem to find a compatible software /app for a QR reader for this phone, but literally every other phone that Samsung makes is supported, and I've found those- but not for the phone I actually have. Thank you!

ITunes are copy written by APPLE Inc. ITunes files can only be used with APPLE devices. And in some cases files that came from ITunes has different format & your Samsung device can’t support it. However if you want to load ITunes files on your phone, you will need to get a file converter to convert the file to MP3. You may try searching for a file converter online.

To send a picture to an e-mail addresses please follow the steps below:
1.From the home screen, press Message
2.Press New Message
3.Press Picture Message
4.To the right of 1 enter the recipients e-mail address
5.Press on each recipient to check their box(es) then press Done
6.Press the Text box then enter the Message text (up to 1000 characters)
7.Press the Picture box then press the desired picture to enlarge it
8.Press to Add the Picture to the Message or press Camera to take a new photo
9.Press the Sound box then press the desired Sound or press Record New to add a new recording
10.Press the Subject box then enter the Subject text (up to 80 characters)

You can try the below options to download or transfer pictures from camera to PC without the use of a micro SD card :

Via Message

To send a picture to an e-mail address follow the steps below:

From the home screen, press Message
Press New Message (1)
Press Picture Message (2)
To the right of 1 enter the recipients e-mail address
Press on each recipient to check their box(es) then press Done
Press the Text box then enter the Message text (up to 1000 characters)
Press the Picture box then press the desired picture to enlarge it
Press to Add the Picture to the Message or press Camera to take a new photo
Press the Sound box then press the desired Sound or press Record New to add a new recording
Press the Subject box then enter the Subject text (up to 80 characters)
Press the Name Card box then press to add My Name Card or a Contact
Press Send to forward the Picture Message to the recipient(s)
Note: Picture & Video Messages are only available within the Verizon Wireless Enhanced Services Area

Tip: You can send a Picture Message to up to 10 recipients

Note: To send a message to a group the group must first be added to the favorites

Verizon Online Album

In Addition, pictures & videos may be sent from the handset directly to your Verizon Online Album. Please contact your service provider concerning all Verizon Online Album issues.

There is no configurable option to lock the pictures on your phone but you an have a phone lock mode.

In Phone Lock mode, you can answer calls, but the phone must be unlocked to place outgoing calls (except to emergency numbers). The phone locks automatically the next time it is powered on and stays locked until you enter the correct lock code.

To enable or disable the Phone Lock setting follow the steps below:

From the home screen, touch Menu
Touch Settings & Tools
Touch Phone Settings
Touch Security
Enter the Lock Code (Default is last 4 digits of phone number)
Touch one of the following:
Touch Phone Lock Setting
From the Phone Lock Setting touch one of the folllowing:
Unlocked - The phone remains unlocked
On Power Up - The phone locks after power up
Touch Lock Phone Now - The phone locks immediately and stays locked until the correct lock code is entered
