Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry. You may follow the steps below to transfer picture between the phone and the computer.

1.Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot
2.From the standby screen, press the OK key for Menu
3.Select Settings & Tools (9)
4.Select Tools (2)
5.Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
6.Select USB Mass Storage (8)
7.When successfully connected, the phone will show Connected to the PC... and Call Disabled on the display
8.If prompted, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" on the new Removable Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually.
9.Navigate to the location of the files on the PC
10.Drag n Drop or copy & paste the file(s) into into the phone's My_Pix or My-Flix folder.

If still not working, you call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can further assist you on this issue in a more timely manner than we could through this forum.

To delete a contact from the contact list follow the steps below:

1.While in standby mode, press the right soft key for Contacts
2.Highlight the Contact to delete, using the navigational keys
3.Press the right soft key for Options
4.Select Erase (2)
5.Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys
6.Press OK to confirm the Contact deletion

To delete All Contacts follow the steps below:

1.While in standby mode, press the right soft key for Contacts
2.Press the right soft key for Options
3.Select Erase All Contacts (9)
4.Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys
5.Press OK to confirm deleting All Contacts
6.Enter the lock code, default password is the last 4 digits of cellphone number, unless it has been changed, then press OK

Question

My Samsung Convoy Mobile phone has been an excellent one--until now.

The alarms, although set properly, will not go off. Also, the background display light will not shut off even though it is set for 7 seconds. Thus, the battery is draining down almost completely by late evening--because the display light is on all the time. I am not aware of anything I did and both of these things started at the same time. Any suggestions???

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

What file extensions do the media files accept via micro sd card?

I purchased a 2 gb micro sd card. Even thought the files are on the card, I cannot get the information to load from the card (Ringtones, music, etc.) to the phone. The message I get is that "no files are found. When I try to load photos from the card, they load but it says that the .jpg files are not supported and the photo does not display. I have formatted the card according to the instructions in the Convoy user manual on multiple occasions. I have tried every imaginable way to get the information from the card to the phone or even just use if off the card. Again m y computer shows the files on the card but the phone does not recognize these files (except photos.)

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

how do I get the front display to work?

My front display on my new samsung convoy 2 has no display. There is only a light purple background light. I can't get the clock or wallpaper to come on.
