The “AA” symbol on the phone means Auto Answer or Auto w/ Hands free. This pertains to when you receive an incoming call, then that will be answered automatically with a 5 second delay.
If you want to change the answer option on the handset, follow the steps below.
1. From the home screen, press for MENU 2. Go to Settings & Tools. 3. Press for Call Settings. 4. Press for Answer Options
• Flip Open: Calls are answered when the phone is opened. • Any Key: Calls are answered when any key is pressed. • Auto w/ Handsfree: Calls are answered automatically with a 5 second delay.
4. Highlight the method you wish to use for answering calls, then press for MARK. Press right soft key for Mark All to select all options. Press left soft key for Done.
The phone only gives me the option to ignore the call and something else, but I can't answer the call. There is a pop up menu that only gives me a bunch of options for texting. Pushing send doesn't work. Pushing clear takes me back to the menu for the game, where I can click on resume. Pressing send from that screen doesn't work either. Please help!

Thank you for your inquiry. You may try doing the soft reset on the phone by taking out the battery for at least 10-15 seconds and then put the battery back in and evaluate it. If it's still not working and still doing the same thing, you may call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot this issue in a more timely manner than we could through this forum.

Why can't by cell phone (SCH-U840 OR SCH-U640) pair with Ford my touch.
It will not pair and if you force it in reverse. Then you can hear a call coming in on my touch but can not answer it on the my touch or on the phone. It also blocks out going calls when in the car and the car is on. I am upset because Verizon wireless assured me it would work in the car I was buying because it had blue thoth.

You may also call the car manufacturer and check with them if the phone is listed among the compatible phones that will work with the car kit.

To transfer files, using the Mass Storage option, follow the steps below:
Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot From the standby screen, press the OK key for Menu Select Settings & Tools (9) Select Tools (2) Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot Select USB Mass Storage (8) When successfully connected, the phone will show Connected to the PC... and Call Disabled on the display If prompted, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" on the new Removable Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually Navigate to the location of the files on the PC Drag n Drop or copy & paste the file(s) into into the phone's My_Pix or My-Flix folder.

You can transfer music files from the memory card to the SCH-U640 (Conoy) phone by doing the steps below.
1. While in standby mode, press OK for Menu. 2. Select Media Center (5). 3. Select Music & Tones (1). 4. Select My Music (3). 5. Press the left soft key for Library. 6. Select All Songs (1). 7. Highlight the desired file, using the navigation keys. 8. Press the right soft key for Options. 9. Select Move to Phone (2). 10. Highlight each desired Song then press the OK button to Mark or check their boxes. 11. Press the left soft key for Done. 12. Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys. 13. Press OK to confirm moving the file to the phone memory.
Note: Although you can load other music files on the phone, you can set the default music files available on the phone as ringtones. Please coordinate with your service provider for more information regarding the compatible ringtones that can be used on the phone.

MP3 ringtones are limited to those downloaded from the Verizon Media Store. Although the handset offers the ability to playback MP3 files, synchronized to the memory card or phone, there are no configurable options available to assign those MP3 files as ringtones.
